Family of four adults staying at Grebe Lodge to spend time with family from Brighton.We arrived in the dark. The lodge was easy to find as the campsite is not large. I was happy with the lodge on the whole but it was worn and scuffed in areas. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen equipment was poor. The quality of the pans was inexpensive and had loose handles. The cutlery was again of an inexpensive quality and mismatched. There was a welcome package which was appreciated. In the daylight the campsite was lovely and well kept. The reception staff were friendly. The local large supermarket was about ten minutes away and I also bought some supplies from a farm shop just a few minutes away. Getting in and out of Brighton was easy. We did enjoy the stay and I would consider staying again. I did think it was expensive for what it was as there was a minimum of three nights even though we only needed two.

We thoroughly enjoyed our four day break in Grebe Lodge. Such peaceful and tranquil surroundings. The lodge itself had everything you would require for a comfortable stay. The reception staff and the Cafe by the Lake staff were super friendly and helpful. The cake, bread, eggs, milk, butter and wine that were provided was a real treat and were certainly well received. We will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.

The site was lovely in a nice setting and staff great however I made a couple of suggestions to the manager as things could be better.The lodges are set on Sumners lake and it is a very difficult lake to catch on,I didn’t see one fish get caught on the 4 days we were there,my son is 9 and didn’t enjoy this lake however there are 4 other lakes on the site so on our third day, we decided to change lakes we went On Match lake And caught Four Fish, We had to pay an extra £14 to fish and another lake So I suggested to the manager that if you pay the money for a lodge, all lakes should be inclusive.The other problem we encountered was the café was not open in the evening for a dinner bear in mind we went on a school holiday half term and Camp was full so I didn’t understand why this was not open, apparently this has been like this since Covid so I think they need to re-address this situation.

Easy website to book and friendly staff in the reception.This is our second visit and we will no doubt return. Lodge is very comfortable with everything you need and the welcome pack is a really nice touch, gorgeous cake!Fishing was pretty sparse probably due to the amount of bait that is dumped in on a daily basis & I think banning bait boats would be a good idea!Cafe for food and drink was good and the local shop has all the basics and the pub next door serves nice food too.

Summers Ponds is a truly beautiful place to stay! We have been coming here for 15 years and seen many changes. These have all been done to an extremely high standard and much care and thought is given to all that they do. We have stayed in lodges, shepherds huts, camping pods and camped and have never been disappointed! And neither will you! Come and experience this wonderful place and see for yourself!

We booked Grebe Lodge at Sumners Pond for a week of carp fishing, thinking it ideal for our needs. Check-in was an hour earlier than expected, and the reception staff were welcoming. We were concerned when given a shower block code, which later proved justified. The lodge was pleasant with a welcome pack of eggs, cake, and bread, though it smelled of dog and needed airing. Unfortunately, issues arose. The double bed had a too-small mattress, causing pillows to fall through gaps. The shower had no water pressure, being either scalding hot or freezing cold, explaining the need for the shower block code. The key box code was visible through the lodge door, compromising security. Most importantly, the fishing boundaries aren't published online. Although we assumed we could fish directly in front of the lodge, we learned our boundary was limited and obstructed by trees, offering only a small fishing area. We were very disappointed with the whole experience cutting short our holiday.

we stayed in one of the lodges and it was wonderful,.So peaceful and we had a lovely welcome pack in the lodge when we arrived.I would highly recommend coming here and look forward to coming back in the future.
