We stayed at Swallows Hide from a Friday to Monday. It was amazing. It is described as a safari tent but it is so much more than that. Very well equipped with everything you could need. Super clean. The welcome pack is very well received too! We also had a family lunch in the Cafe by the Lake and the food was delicious. The staff at Sumner Ponds are friendly and very helpful. The only comment I have for improvements would be the sofa in the lounge isn’t very comfortable- we had good weather so weren’t in there much but a new sofa would make the trip absolutely perfect! The beds were really comfortable and we used the gas BBQ which was great. My husband caught some carp during our stay too so he was a happy man! We will definitely go back.

Staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much. Good facilities, shower block and toilets clean. Only small moan, showers need more power. Cafe nice and clean. Food on offer good variations, but bit expensive

Had a very relaxing week, staff are always very friendly and helpful. Our accommodation was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Only downside was the double bed mattress was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs in the mattress so either needs replacing or a topper. Sofa was very uncomfortable, a small l shaped sofa would be ideal.

The tent was so well equipped! I packed bin bags, tea towels, washing up liquid, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper but it was all there for us on arrival. The beds were so comfy and the tent felt so homely and warm. Perfect celebration for my husband’s 50th birthday.

Stayed in a Safari tent. All mod cons warm and cosy, great view of the lake.Only one criticism the sofa bed could have been more comfortable. Overall a perfect long weekend away.
