Willow’s Hide, is glamping at it’s finest and would tempt even the most reluctant campers. Sleeping up to 4 adults and 2 children means it is perfect for couples or families that love the camping experience but can’t live without a bit of luxury.
Perched on the bank of Sumners Lake, the outlook and atmosphere of this Safari Tent is unrivalled.
Bi-fold doors on to the decking area allow for stunning views of the lake at all times of the year. The central heating will keep you cosy and warm even in the winter months.
Inside there are two double bedrooms and one cosy “Nest” bedroom perfect for kids and accessed via a small ladder. In addition there is a large, open-plan kitchen and dining area, a cosy living area with a smart-TV, as well as a spacious and modern shower room – it’s hard to remember you’re in a tent!
The kitchen is fully kitted with fridge, cooking equipment, glassware, crockery and cutlery all provided.
Outside there is a large decking with your own tackle and bait shed, a private fishing platform, BBQ, and outside seating.
Use of electric and gas is inclusive, and all the bed linen and towels are provided. Guests will need to bring their own washing up liquid, bin bags etc.
Fishing on Sumners Lake from your platform is included within your stay. Guests are welcome to fish the other lakes which are near-by but will need to purchase a day ticket.

On arrival, staff were amazing, friendly and welcoming. Accommodation was fabulous and the complimentary cake and supplies were well received. Lodge had everything we could have wanted and was very comfortable. Views were tranquil and fishing was welled enjoyed, with the exception of the bait boats. We felt the size of the lakes didn't warrant these, and maybe showed lack of fishing skills. The cafe had nice food, but was over priced and more of a restaurant. The pub was cheaper! The staff in cafe were lovely and all staff we came across gave 100% customer service. Even though there was work going on on site, this didn't affect are stay. One down side to this amazing place in the country, you didn't have any recycling facilities.

Wonderful stay Cafe a tad expensive but food and friendly welcoming staff couldn’t be faulted at all Only negative were the beds in the safari tent we stayed in seemed to be a small double rather than a normal sized double but I could be wrong as I’m used to a slightly larger bed but saying that they were extremely comfy Have booked to return later this year for NYE again

Staff very friendly. Facilities exceptionally clean. Food fab. We stayed in Willows Hide. The cakes, eggs, bread, milk, coffee, etc was a lovely touch and being able to fish right outside was so convenient.

Firstly met Debbie with a smile in reception was very helpful. 😊The accommodation exceeded our expectations very cleaned and with the welcome pack that was appreciated at Willow HideFishing was difficult inclement weather did not help, but was enjoyable having our own swim.Did not use restaurant on site which closed 4 pm ☹️ but used the local pub the Queens head in the village which we would recommend highly.

Facilities clean and tidy. Staff always friendly. Pricing getting too high. Cafe on the Lake needs to be open longer hours. Closing at three during the week with a nearly full campsite is too early.I have been staying at Sumners for the last 15 years at least and seen many changes. Mostly good.

Had a lovely, relaxing stay in Willows Hide (Safari tent) for 4 nights…We all really enjoyed the welcome package! We had an issue with the fridge when we first arrived, but they were aware of it and quickly replaced it with a new one.Was very pleased to see the fountain working again on Sumners Lake as it’s makes a huge difference to the feel of the accommodation & helps to drown out a lot of noise of other people in their accommodations. They only down side to booking again is having to pay such a high deposit even when it’s for a long time away (50%) & also having the reception office staff such a big security deposit (I believe that leaving your card details should be enough - because it is hard to physically handover that amount of money to have to wait two working days to get it back as well once you’ve left.

This is our second stay in willows hide and we’ve also camped at the site.We love the accommodation and location, in particular that you have your own decking to fish from. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The cafe on the lake is a lovely place to have lunch and some drinks, and ideal that catering trucks comeonto site.We also drove to Littlehampton for the day as only a 40min drive away. We can not fault Sumner Ponds and will be backNext year :)
