My daughter treated me to a stay at Sumners Ponds for my birthday. We had such a lovely time and can't recommend it enough. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful, with gorgeous flowers creating such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. One of the highlights of our stay was feeding the cows – such a simple but memorable experience! The food was fantastic too. The café served delicious cakes and excellent coffee, and The Shack was great for an evening meal – the hot food was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We stayed in Robin's Nest, which was beautiful and incredibly comfortable. The mattress was so comfy, and it was wonderfully quiet, we slept so well! A beautiful place to unwind with great food, stunning surroundings, and a really peaceful atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

This is a superb place to stay for all fishing fans regardless of experience. We stayed in Robins Nest, which has its own private fishing area to use. Robins nest was clean and well presented. It has its own private garden area to use when you need a break from all that fishing. A lovely spot to relax and within easy access to the reception, cafe and bar. Some lovely woodland walks if you want to venture further afield. The local pub is walkable up the road. A great place for all those well behaved dogs too. Highly recommend for a great break away.

Well stocked shops for all fishing gear and not over priced All accommodation is clean and tidy and a nice touch is the milk eggs bread and cake left new for the next visitor Cafe is open daily and again has good food and helpful and friendly staff. All surrounding grounds are lovely for either children playing or woodland dog walking We have stayed for four years running and will definitely return again next year all being well.

This was the second time I have stayed at sumners. First visit was 2 years ago in Mallard with my late father and that was a fantastic experience. The accommodation was superb and most recently I stayed with a mate in Robins nest. We had a brilliant time the facilities are second to none. Robins next is in my opinion a great place to stay for a few days. It may be small but it's packed with all you need to make your stay comfortable. I have to admit I didn't share the double bed with my mate. I took a single airbed and that was all I needed. We really enjoyed being the head focal point on the pond and only a few steps from a beer in the fridge. Brilliant welcoming team at sumners well done.

We stayed for 3 nights in Robins Rest . Everything was great , check in was smooth, the site is amazing , lovely and peaceful . Our accommodation was good , I needed an extension as the only mirror is in the bathroom and no electric sockets are near . This was soon taken care off and an extension was delivered to me . A couple of things I think it could do with , a full length mirror and some wine glasses ! And maybe leave an extension in the property for the docket issue . Other than that , perfect. My husband was there for the fishing which didn’t disappoint. Food from the snack shack was superb . All in all a great relaxing weekend

Sumners is a magical place and 2nd time we’ve been over Christmas, I love the peace and quiet, whilst my husband fishes. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, the shop holds lots of essential and wonderful goods, from milk, eggs, to fishing bait and local meats to buy. Robins nest is such a perfect small home from home, with this year an added microwave. It’s so easy to produce everyday meals. Love love love Sumners
