Stayed 2 nights in a pod on Farm Pond with my fishing obsessed 14 year old son, husband and daughter. Pod was basic (as expected), but cosy and great for us. The pond itself was set up so you were far enough away from other people not to feel on top of each other. It was so relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. Although we didn’t use the cafe, we had a look at the area at the front, and what a lovely location for lunch or just a drink. Everyone was respectful of each other and noise was minimal, contributing to the tranquility. The shower and toilet block was extremely clean at all times. The staff in the office were so friendly and buying bait was easy on site. My daughter was in a wheelchair due to an ankle operation and although everything was easily accessible, the only issue was the gravel, pushing her was quite hard. All in all, a really lovely weekend. I’m not into fishing but it was nice to watch my son in his element and us just relaxing. We are planning another long weekend soon.

I have written a comprehensive review on trust pilot. Unfortunately, the fishing is not what it states on its website, far too overcrowded and bailiffs do not monitor anything going on. Unsupervised children caused untold problems including hooking wildfowl and casting over lines. Spodding in my swim and even hitting my pole with their rods. All reported to management who didn’t care and said ‘that’s a shame’. Really wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely stay with family in lakeside pod. All staff very friendly , amenities very clean , lovely walks , small shop and great pub close by. Will definitely be returning.

Good stay, toilet facilities good. Only draw back is you have to pay extra for fishing even if staying on a lakeside pod

We took 2 dogs It was a relaxed weekend away other places look down on dog owners.. we felt very relaxed a chilled

Totally brilliant weekend - I've stayed before but this was a first time fishing trip.The camping pod was super clean and in beautiful location on the Farm Pond and the fishing was great fun.The shower block is the cleanest I've seen on a camp site and everything worked well.The cafe/restaurant is excellent and the staff are so friendly. Special mention to Luke the Fishing Bailiff, Gabe at the bar, and the lovely, super-helpful staff on the check in desk!

Lovely peaceful place to stay. Very friendly staff and helpful. If you love fishing and the outdoors then definitely pop to Sumners pond

An absolute pleasure staying at Sumners Pond had some quality time with my son fishing from one of the pods on farm pond. From speaking to Debbie who assisted my booking, answering all my questions, arriving onsite and unfortunately having to go home we had a great time. Great facilities, shower block spotless, helpful friendly staff a great café, tackle shop and a lovely village store and pub in the nearby village. Look forward to our next trip.

Lovely site, really clean facilities, great cafe, friendly staff & good pub and shop nearby.Shame about the building works nearby hopefully be finished soon and could do with the cafe opening later or offering an evening meal occasionally :)

Well all I can say it’s what a lovely place to stay . We stayed in a pod we was meant to have taken our caravan but it went in for repair they changed our booking to the pod which was great , we had pod number 5 which is just the other side of the lakeside cafe the food and drinks are great , the shower blocks and washing up areas are so clean can’t fault, the staff are so helpful and friendly if you want a relaxing time then 100% go you will love it .
