"Perfect romantic weekend away"

The accommodation has been designed perfectly, they have utilised the space well and everything you need has been carefully thought out. We ran out of logs but after a quick phone call more were delivered to us within 5 minutes, we couldn’t have asked for a better service. The site itself is beautiful, there’s an amazing cafe on the lake and plenty of green space to roam around. We fished from the deck, unfortunately we didn’t get a catch all weekend but I suppose that’s just how it goes sometimes. All in all an amazing peaceful weekend away, we will definitely be back!

Sumners Pond, Barnsgreen is a delightful community and the Queens Head was a bonus for evening meals. The Swallows Hide was just glorious, wonderful to have our own shower and toilet. The log burner and central heating kept us cosy, even in January! Debbie and the staff were very friendly and helpful especially changing from a Shepherds hut to the Safari Tent. And also very welcoming. I found some of the emails were out of date and I found the website not the easiest to navigate. Had I known the Safari Tent was so well equipped with a full kitchen I would have brought at least breakfast stuff and maybe lunch stuff too. Only a slight regret, but it might be good to update some of the emails and maybe make the website more user friendly. Despite having 75% rain over the weekend it was still a memorable time. I loved the cafe by the lake and it’s decor.

"4 th stay in the lodges"

Mr R Young - Stayed with family, Sep 2022

We love staying at sumners and really can not fault anything, if I could change one thing it would be the restaurant closing time, I think stop cooking food at 3 and closing at 4 is to early as I assume that most people would eat later than this, so I would recommend... "Worth the wait!"

When we went in we were kindly gifted a drink from the bar. And the tent was very clean and tidy. All staff were extremely friendly, helpful and generally seemed to enjoy being/working at the site. Fishing lakes are great a very family friendly site for accomodations for everyone. The communal shower block by Sumners pond is the cleanest I have ever seen. With the showers being hot and powerful even when all in use. Very clean, tidy well maintained site. Only downside was no cash. Thank you

"Superb camp-site"

Mr T Edmundson - Stayed with family, Jun 2022

Swallow's Hide Safari Tent was superb: excellent facilities and a great view from the veranda. I would have liked a toilet in the tent. The camp-site was very attractively laid out.

"Swallows Hide Safari Tent"

Miss L Ferguson - Stayed with partner, Jun 2022

Amazing tent. Absolutely everything you could need is provided. spotless as usual. Sumners has everything for a lovely break with great cafe, toilet facilities very clean & always found a free shower. The only downside is the prices have shot up. Stayed last year,... Amazing tent. Absolutely everything you could need is provided. spotless as usual. Sumners has everything for a lovely break with great cafe, toilet facilities very clean & always found a free shower. The only downside is the prices have shot up. Stayed last year, approx same dates and prices have gone up for a 3 day w/end at £403 to £603 in 2022! The very late check-in time (4pm) and early check-out (10am) means it’s just a weekend away so feel it’s a bit pricey?! Staff always very friendly & had a great weekend.

"Great glamping spot for families"

Mrs L Vince - Stayed with family, May 2022

Great little glamping spot with great facilities. Different food vans on a weekend, plus a cafe serving food and drinks daily. Fishing was great and a lovely little children splat area too. Would recommend

I have been to Sumners before and absolutely love the tranquility, the wildlife is lovely to watch while my family do there fishing 🎣. The facilities are very clean but the shower did fluctuate with the water temperature so it got very cold or very hot and sometimes in between. I had one issue with our stay this time, we was staying in the Safari tent which is very nice but they where building a new one close to where we was and they started using tools at 8.15am but to be fair the ducks and birds woke me up very early so I was awake anyway but you don't really want to be listening to the sounds of work being done on holiday. Overall we had a great stay and will be back.
