We are looking forward to staying again next year.

We were disappointed that there was no evening entertainment in the cafe while we were there (and for the school summer holidays) Also the information in the accommodation did not remind people about no smoking in the accommodation, I think some standard signing in the accommodation to help reinforce the message.

We were all delighted when we got the to see how spacious and well equipped it was. There was a large gas bbq and 2 large gas burners on the terrace and all the equipment that you would need for cooking. The weather while we wet there was extremely hot and we were provided with a powerful cooling fan which helped make our stay more comfortable. There is also a log burner for colder days.

We stayed at Sumners last July in our own tent and enjoyed the rural setting but with top quality facilities. When an offer landed in our inbox for half price in the beautiful Safari Tent for half term, we couldn’t resist. And we weren’t disappointed. It was beautiful. The washblocks are managed exceptionally well and are clean, warm and feel safe, the Reception staff (in fact all staff we encountered) were friendly, knowledgeable about the local village and amenities, and couldn’t be more helpful, and the onsite Cafe is a true treat. A lovely menu, gorgeous setting and mixes quality and class with a down-to-earth homely feel. The lakes/ponds and surrounding countryside is, of course, stunningly beautiful too. As a family getaway for a few days with young children who love the outdoors and a bit of an adventure, it was brilliant.
