Experience camping in a glamping pod at Sumners Ponds Fishery & Campsite, The concept is to bring all your own equipment less the tent – so you need to bring your own bedding including mattress or camp bed, cooking equipment and anything else you think you might need for a camping trip in West Sussex. Best of all you will be cosy and warm with no wet tent to pack away at the end of your stay.

The glamping pod consists of lockable double doors, carpeted flooring, electric heater and lighting with the use of a double plug socket. There is also a small decking area on each of the glamping pods for use as a seating and cooking area. At each glamping pod there is a picnic table exclusively for your use.

Use of the showers blocks and electricity is included. Fishing is separate and tickets can be purchased when you arrive. A Standard Glamping Pod can accommodate up to two adults and two small children.

Glamping at Sumners Ponds Fishery and Campsite in West Sussex is a unique and beautiful spot set in tranquil countryside amongst 100 acres of lakes, woodland and pasture.

The campsite itself boasts high quality campsite facilities, acres of woodland, a working farm and fishing lakes. All this in a beautiful and secluded setting which is perfect for just relaxing, or for the more active, exploring the many footpaths and safe cycle-ways within and around the site.

Sumners Ponds is an ideal touring base, with many beautiful towns and villages near by. Access to the South Downs National Park and the coast is easy, while Brighton is only half an hour by car and London only one hour away. There really is something for everyone.

The Cafe by the Lake is our restaurant and bar which is open to both those staying on site and the general public. We aim to provide the highest standard of food and service.

When you arrive the Smith family and the team will be here to ensure that your glamping break in West Sussex is as enjoyable as possible. We look forward to welcoming you.

"Peaceful and Relaxing"

A lovely place to walk around with woods and lakes and well defined footpaths. There's a lovely pub nearby and a cafe on site. Unfortunately the cafe doesn't open after 4pm during the week which is a shame but it was a nice spot for breakfast or lunch. The toilet and shower block is spotlessly clean with really good facilities. There are also laundry facilities if you are staying a bit longer and even a fridge and freezer you can use if you need it. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

"Nice place to stay for a couple of days"

Mr W Floate - Stayed with family, Apr 2023

It's a nice place to stay, clean and tidy. The toilets were very clean considering it's a campsite. I don't like the fact that it is not gated and anyone can just walk or drive in. I don't like the fact that it is not gated and anyone can just walk or drive in. The breakfast was on the expensive side as you didn't get much for your money and mine was barely warm. We were impressed by the fish and chip van as it was value for money. We have stayed a few times and had a nice time but now the kids are older there isn't a great deal for then to do.

"Beautiful and clean"

Miss C Coles - Stayed with family, Apr 2023

Staff were very friendly on arrival and during stay. I saw nothing but cleaners the whole time I was there. The facilities were faultless! I’ve never stayed at a campsite that is so clean and well maintained! I only wish there were more things to do on the premises but... Staff were very friendly on arrival and during stay. I saw nothing but cleaners the whole time I was there. The facilities were faultless! I’ve never stayed at a campsite that is so clean and well maintained! I only wish there were more things to do on the premises but it was stunning and so peaceful. Even the bird sounds in the toilets were a lovely touch. I have camped in a tent here and I returned this year to stay in a pod and we already want to come back! Kids love it Thankyou :)

"New Year Break"

Mr M Everett - Stayed with partner, Dec 2022

We normally come to Sumners Ponds in our camper van but decided for New Year to try a pod. They may be basic camping but provided you have the right kit they are warm and given the weather, watertight! Staff were very helpful booking and in resolving parking issues.... Cafe was as good as ever and so were the walks around the area. Toilets and showers were spotless as usual. We will be returning.

"2 Night Pod Stay - highly recommend"

Miss L Steer - Stayed with partner, Sep 2022

We stayed in a pod for two nights. The pod and surrounding area was really nice. We had an enclosed garden which made it more private. The shower/toilet facilities were outstanding. Very clean, spacious and the bird noises played was a nice touch. The campsite itself... We stayed in a pod for two nights. The pod and surrounding area was really nice. We had an enclosed garden which made it more private. The shower/toilet facilities were outstanding. Very clean, spacious and the bird noises played was a nice touch. The campsite itself is very pretty. The two secure dog fields were more than worth the money. My dog loved going to both. My only dissatisfaction would be the food from the cafe. I ordered two breakfast ciabattas and the fillings were burnt. However the cafe area again is very nice and had a good selection of food and cakes. Will definitely be staying again.
