Luckily we weren't going out or having to leave that morning as we didn't have any water before 10 am . Really friendly staff everywhere 😊 Wish the cafe by the lake served evening meals or even a takeaway service would have been ideal. Thank you for such a lovely mini break .

It was wet and windy but Robins Nest stayed cosy and warm. The exclusive use of the platform to the lake was brilliant. Despite the weather, or maybe because of the weather I caught over 100 fish. My wife enjoyed a time of relaxation and rest. Staff are friendly and helpful and the cafe by the lake is excellent. Useful to have the local shop nearby so that you can buy a newspaper and a few provisions. I definitely want to come again. The only issue we had was that the locker on the end of Robins Nest cabin was completely jammed up because of wood swelling with the wet weather so I could not use it for storing fishing rods etc. I did report this so I am sure it will be fixed.

We love Sumners Pond, the facilities and the staff. If anything could be improved it would be this...... - Size of the bed in Robin's nest, my hubby is 6'3 and struggled to sleep in that bed - lower deposits to book the holidays, pay monthly schemes Best thing -... We normally come with the family so have a larger lodge. Absolutely loved Robins Nest. It's tucked away in the corner. Fishing was also better than on the main lake where we normally stay. Only down sides were, a microwave would have been a great help as there is only 2 gas rings and these are a little dangerous as frying pan will slide off the rings. A few more hooks so you could at least hang a couple of coat hangers up. Also a outside shed would be great to put your fishing stuff in over night. Instead of having to put it all back in the car every night. Accommodation was very clean and the bed was very comfy. Already booked for next year.

Robins Nest is well laid out has everything you need - you don’t need to take anything with you other than clothes and toiletries. Beautiful view over the lake. Cafe is great lovely to sit by a lake and have a drink in the evening. All staff very friendly and helpful. Main issue near Robins Nest was the number of wasps in the tree by the fishing landing made us less likely to have doors and windows open, which made hut stuffy and left an unpleasant odour in the hut. Having said that the whole of Sumner ponds is so lovely and relaxing we didn’t need to go anywhere else!
