horoughly enjoyed our week staying n Moorhen Lodge. Staff were really friendly and obliging. Just a bit dissapointed that I hade to take temoray measures to ensure our dog could not easily run off from the decking area or jump into the water.

After this horrible year it was so nice to have a few nights away from home relaxing and doing what we love FISHING. the lodge was so clean and staff where very helpful and polite. We have stayed in pods before for weekend breaks but this time decided to book the lodge and take the children and I’m so happy we did. Everyone had the best break away. We will be returning.

From a fishing perspective was slow, but had lots of other holiday activities going on so only tried sporadically. Would say there are too many lodges/pictches lakeside, that gives you very restricted space to fish in, with your neighbours on top of you. Impressive kitchen facilities used a lot as like to cook. Bedding very comfortable. Visited Cafe and had a great Meal very impressive Covid observance. Great stuff thank you Sumners.

Been coming here and staying in my caravan and sometimes in one of the lodges. The biggest bugbear I have is having to pay for fishing when staying in the lakeside cabins when you already pay a decent price, the fishing should be included in the price.

The variety of fishing lakes suit all abilities with convenient access. It is a very pleasant place to spend some time and chill out. The dog walks are great though they have to be on a lead. A fenced off Field for them to run off some energy would be nice. Enjoyed so much we are looking forward to September next year.

He kept on saying that this was his swansong and was delighted by the fish he was able to catch. The venue seems to go out of it's way to provide access for disabled fisher men & women. Their toilet blocks were also fully accessible. The staff on site were delightful, friendly and helpful. The venue was sparkling clean and they have a COVID-19 cleaning team who are providing extra cleaning throughout the day. This team were in full PPE and very visible in their purple gloves. One of the cleaning staff was happy to chat and showed me the sterilising equipment they used in the lodges/safari tents between visitor stays. They have certainly taken the COVID-19 advice to heart and seem to be following it faithfully. This meant that we could all just take a break from the awfulness of 2020 and relax and enjoy. They have a great café on site which sadly we didn't try out as wanted to do our own cooking/cleaning to feel as safe as possible. The café had lots of business though and I am sure the same cleaning standards apply there. There is a lovely nearby corner shop and pub so even if you don't have a car, you can easily stock up. The corner shop sells fresh fruit and veg from nearby farms so was excellent quality. The camp site has some lovely walks through the woods. The lodge itself was fantastic and the whole family loved the view from the deck. Happy memories were made which will last a lifetime. I can recommend the venue and would be happy to return there as it is so close to the coast. The children's park was shut during our stay which is inline with government advice so I haven't rated things that were shut or that I didn't do myself.
