Carp proved to be quite elusive but we enjoyed the silvers fishing and had Bream to 4lb If I was super critical we would enjoy higher shower pressure. All in all VG!

The addition of Lily and Iris Lodges is what brought us back, luxury comfort for me fishing for hubby. Lovely modern lodges equipped to a high standard, with bifold doors enabling great Lake views from the sofa or chilling on the decking. Plenty of walks if you like to venture. The lake in front of lodge is a difficult lake to fish but with patience he finally caught a 24lb carp……😁 I can’t comment on the Lake Cafe as we arrive with all the goodies we need topped up with a trip to the Tesco superstore around 4 miles away. Overall a lovely place to be with my family……see you again

Just had an amazing week staying in Iris Lodge at Sumners Ponds. From the moment we walked in the lodge we felt at home. From the tasteful, comfy furnishings to the amazing views over the lake to the lovely walks around the site - we were blown away and really felt we were getting value for money and a much needed rest following a difficult period with my wife recently undergoing cancer treatment. I had been looking forward to doing some fishing and was not disappointed, hauling in a decent bream within an hour of setting up - and it didn't stop all week. We had a meal at the local pub (The Queens Head) but sadly, it was was not good - in fact I would not recommend it at all. Also, we found the Cafe by the Lake very expensive and the food was not all that good - definitely not value for money. All in all we enjoyed our stay immensely and have booked two more weeks over the next few months - I cant think of a better recommendation than that.

Space and quality is good in this lodge. It would be nice to have a better quality of cutlery rather than the smallish cheap feeling knives and forks. It would also be nice to have a second television in one of the master bedrooms. Not everyone is addicted to soaps.... Space and quality is good in this lodge. It would be nice to have a better quality of cutlery rather than the smallish cheap feeling knives and forks. It would also be nice to have a second television in one of the master bedrooms. Not everyone is addicted to soaps. For a change in this type of property let the sofas were quite comfortable. Deck area was good with useful furniture. However we were not able to light the BBQ properly. Might have been low gas but we did not investigate as it was not a priority. Instruction on how to light it would be useful although I did not check in the information book so they might be there. Fishing was OK. I was able to hook into a fair few bream, biggest about a pound, fairly close in floating with a waggler as I do not carp fish with the heavy gear, Other people were finding the carp though. Number of swims is a bit high for the size of the lake. Overall thoroughly enjoyed. I

Entrance / pathway to reception needs to be improved. Gravel difficult for wheelchair. Also disappointed that Cafe by the Lake was not available for evening meals. However, overall lovely stay with very friendly staff.

We booked to have a week away to do fishing and totally rest as we had a traumatic time previously. It met all the requirements in Irys Lodge. All the staff made us so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. It is unfair to name names but the lady who offered to don a wet suit and go in the lake to get me a fish, the bailiffs who helped advised and done all that they could to help a fragile 89 year old to catch fish. Must mention the two ladies in the restaurant who totally looked after us. On to maint staff who were great and lovely as were the reception ladies. Coming back in September🤠

We stayed in the gorgeous Iris lodge and it was really lovely and well equipped. We are a family with a teenager and 2 small children and we had a lovely week fishing, walking, visiting Horsham & the kids enjoyed a visit to Tilgate park. We had enjoyable days spent at the lodge and visiting the cafe. The children’s Park area does need a bit of TLC and could be made more of with more play equipment. The lodge was beautiful and we have booked again for next summer, but there really does need to be a gate fitted between the decking and the fishing pontoon to make it safe for children. I have mentioned this so I hope when we visit next year this will have been actioned.
