A Christmas break which we have done before. despite the inclement weather our stay was as always fabulous. Its lovely to breathe in clean air and to watch nature in the meadow below our cabin. Staff are always excellent and the Christmas tree , a box of fudge and biscuits (complimentary) are a very nice touch and make the stay special. We have been visiting Churchwood on and off since 1969 and loved it. Its great that they accept dogs too as our dog loves the lovely walks. We have already booked for Summer!

I have been extremely fortunate to have visited Churchwood now a few times and I have truly enjoyed and valued its beautiful scenery and peaceful atmosphere. Each time my stay has been during the autumn/ winter time, with amazing colours from the trees caressing the landscape around the lodges. With many different birds, squirrels, horses and the sounds of owls tooting over night, makes for a wonderful connection to nature. The views of the sea and cliff top walks to Warren Point/ Wembury Point are outstanding and I find an excellent way for clearing out any anxiety built up from the ever increasing daily grind we call life! Whilst staying at Churchwood I have also visited other areas such as Looe, Polperro, Newquay, Plymouth and found the roads extremely easy to travel to these destinations and very much worth the journey.

Lovely cabin great views big seas.

Lovely setting, comfy cabin, lovely weather, very friendly staff. If the online brochure had not promised free Wi-Fi throughout, the score would have been 5 stars. To be honest, we didn’t really miss the Wi-Fi, which was just non-existent, but we felt a bit cheated when we couldn’t get it.Location was ideal, but watch out for those narrow lanes. Local pub was super! Literally 10 minutes away going, bit longer coming back!Overall, well worth the money.

Chalet was ideal with parking in front . All on one level with easy access to accommodation. Nice dog walk within the grounds and lovely walk down to the beach., Clean and tidy with everything needed for a short stay.Shop well stocked and can order cream teas, pasties etc , Good information provided on check in with a map too,Wembury beach not accessible for dogs from 1/5 to 31/9 but only short walk round to next bay which was lovely and quiet.

We went to Churchwood Valley for a relaxing family holiday and it was great, Good size cabin, close to the beach, good Wi-Fi availability and entertainment for my 7 years old son. Lovely place highly recommended. The only downside was the twin bed instead double, but next time I will make sure that I book with double bed . We will definitely go back soon.

I have just had an excellent week at Churchwood Valley. The whole site is so well planned and managed. The lodge was clean and very comfortable. The site is a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Wembury beach. We came with our two dogs, who are allowed on the beach along the coast path all year round, although not on the main beach -which is a beautiful ecosystem of sand, rock pools and some rocks. Site is really well sited near to all the lovely places in South Devon and close to Plymouth for the amenities there. Highly recommend this as a fantastic place for families, for walkers and anyone who loves Devon. We will definitely be back.

The lodge was wonderful and modern, and had all the amenities we needed. The barbecue we requested was provided and used, and was great quality. The lodge itself was stunning and the views were impeccable, creating us Very Satisfied with the lodge. The roads however were quite narrow, for our big car, but the beach being located so near, most certainly covered this mildly negative aspect. The beach and its walks were simply stunning, and the location was near many sites including the town centre of Plymouth where there are many lunch opportunities available . The stay was wonderful, the only complaint I have is the Wi-fi- it is basically unusable. Would have preferred the free Wi-fi that is so promoted to have been good quality. Despite the this, the stay was excellent, and the modern, clean lodge with an impeccable view created a perfect stay for our family.

Despite a great deal of investment and research we do struggle with our WIFI due to the location of the site. We hope that it didn't spoil your holiday too much.
