We chose to stay here for our first anniversary as we both very much needed a quiet break away. On arrival, the lodge (56) was rotten on the outside in parts. It had obviously been power washed recently so it looked quite run down as the washer had left the wood bare. The door into the lodge was very stiff and hard to shut. Inside the lodge itself was lovely & nice & clean but 1 of the blinds was broke in the living room. We were hoping for a quiet evening in the hot tub which we couldn’t even use due to the noise at the lodge below which went on past 1am. I went to complain the next morning after lack of sleep and was told to phone maintenance. We decided to go for a walk to the swimming pool for a dip but that was closed the whole weekend with no explanation, we thought we would have tea in the restaurant Saturday but it wasn’t taking walk ins due to big tables. More noise that night from the neighbours. Thankfully the Sunday was quiet. We left not feeling refreshed or relaxed

We were amazed at the size of the lodge in which we stayed and how it felt like a little home from home. The site was very clean and all staff that we encountered were very pleasant and friendly. The happy hour at the bar was also an added bonus, with plenty of space to sit indoors or outdoors. We didn’t eat at the restraint but food looked lovely and smelt amazing! We did a lovely walk around Malham - Malham Cove and Janet’s Foss as recommended in the welcome booklet, which we would definitely recommend. We would highly recommend Ribblesdale to anybody wanting a break away.

We enjoyed a great two night stay with our dog in a Wentworth lodge. It was fantastic, the only slight negative being the patio area/furniture could have done with a clean and a stain as it was green in parts, so it was slippery in the rain - but this was only a minor inconvenience. We ate in the restaurant and also got pizzas to take out. The food when eating in was good but the pizza's weren't great - the tomato on the base tasted like it was just tomato paste, so quite strong/overpowering. Overall, the place is fantastic and the negatives I have mentioned are only done as I believe these are only minor but easy to remedy. We will definitely be back.

The live entertainment outside the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. Enjoyed the walk around the estate and into local village. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast before we left was delicious Decking area was a little tired and could have done with a bit of tlc - maybe a couple of hooks for dressing gowns and a small net for fishing leaves out of hot tub? All in all a super weekend in beautiful surroundings - seeing the deers so close up was amazing! Will definitely be back!
