The park setting is so clean and tranquil. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lodges are very spacious and private.

Had a lovely week at Ribblesdale park. The deer and peacocks just roam everywhere and are quite friendly. Being able to feed them was the best part of the holiday for my kids. Lodges are clean and very spacious, and your not over looked by your neighbours, making them very private. Definitely will return.

First Visit

Our stay was really great and the lodge we stayed in exceeded our expectations. The animals roaming the grounds were a great extra and my baby was absolutely mesmerised by them. The only one small comment would be I ordered a high chair and it wasn’t in the lodge on arrival and when it did come was really dirty but wouldn’t change my view of the park.

Beautiful place, very relaxing and lodge was very clean we arrived Friday night and missed food in the restaurant as we didn’t realise they stop serving food early, lucky we had fetched a bit as they isn’t much around, but it didn’t stop us having a good weekend and know now if we return.

Relaxing, peaceful and calm with beautiful views.

Me and my partner stayed in the Morland lodge for 4 nights. We had only been there 10 minutes and looked out of the window to see 2 beautiful deer lay on the grass next to our lodge. How amazing! The peacocks/hens roam freely around the park and so calm and beautiful, albiet, a little bit noisy. We spent our days walking around the park and along the Pennine trail, before relaxing in the hottub with a glass of wine. We ate out at the restaurant on the park (Hindelinis) and they went above and beyond to ensure my vegan partner had a choice of dishes. The only downside of the stay was, not being able to experience the outdoor swimming pool. We were a couple with a dog. We couldn't go to the pool alone for safety reasons, but also couldn't go together due to the fact dogs are not allowed in the poolside enclosure. You cannot leave you do alone in the accommodation , not that we would. So we did miss out on the pool which we were so looking forward to.The lodge needs a little TLC.

Not luxury, but good, with a few niggles

Hunter, Barbara - 16/06/2024

Better signage in Gisburn is required but the site itself is well kept and attractive. Lodge was spacious and generally well equipped. Entrance ‘boot room’ was great. We had a few niggles - handle on patio door was broken, glass seals were blown on a number of windows, lounge furniture was dirty and well worn, only two dining room chairs - the others were garden chairs!, no bin bags provided, no recycling facilities, no tea pot!, because of bath in main bedroom there are no sockets, curtain rather than a door into en suite, plug on roll top bath didn’t work, no useable mirrors in two main bedrooms, lack of a full length mirror anywhere. Very limited bar seating in Hindelinis and the seating was old and shabby. The location of lodge 72 was good. We were secluded from others because of the layout and enjoyed the hot tub in private. Parking for 2 cars. The deer visits were lovely. Peacocks were a pest. A good break but not luxurious. We enjoyed visiting local towns and attractions.

Nice but needs some care and attention

Croney, Nadine - 05/06/2024

Our experience was good but could she been much better if the lodges were serviced and maintained better. Lots of lights/bulbs blown, cleanliness was ok but not brilliant and the amenities could be better thought out. For instance, no plug sockets or mirror in the master bedroom (Moorlands) which is a no brainer these days for charging phones etc. and drying hair. Also the surroundings to the pool area is like a disused car park/wasteland which didn’t match the overall picture the photos promote and after being told to fill in the pool disclaimers and follow the rules we arrived to find nothing was being upheld - maximum people in the pool, food/drink restrictions etc. so the paperwork and talk we were given at checking was pointless. The other aspect I can’t comprehend is why on a 1000 acre estate do the lodges need to located directly next to a busy road? Lovely scenery and space to utilise but sadly looked out over the road from the hot tub. A real missed opportunity in my opinion.

Short break

Lovely location and fabulous views. Very friendly staff although the restaurant was short staffed which meant our drinks were Luke warm by the time they arrived at the table and as we were next to the kitchen could see our food waiting to be delivered to our table for some considerably time until one of the chefs took it upon themselves to bring the food to us. The quality of the food, as usual, was outstanding. The only disappointing thing with the lodge, is there is only 1 shelf in the oven, for a 6 person accommodation, so how do you to cook for that number of occupants or is that to get you to go to the restaurant? Hot tub was great as usual and the cabin was very clean, tidy and plenty of towels are provided. This was our third visit to this place in 12 months, so generally we are big fans of here, just a couple of snags on this visit.

Wonderful setting

Overall a great stay. The visits from deer and peacocks delighted the grandchildren. Staff very helpful and friendly. The pool was much appreciated too. Restaurant meal was fine, just could do with smaller portions for older folk. I hate wasting food!Lovely walk into Gisburn and experienced the cattle market first hand. Great cafe at the crossroad, before walk back through the estate. Sunday activity...due to heavy rain, Clitheroe Castle and Park.
