I was disappointed that there were no information within the lodge of the area or where to walk for example trails or near by attraction. That would be a great thing to have an information booklet. We loved the wildlife within the park and how the first impression of the park when driving in. We're disappointed how there were no information within the lodge on how to use the sound system and the lights on hot tub didn't work. I feel lights at night to use the hot tub would be a good idea. The area around the estate was lovely. We went for dinner at the restaurant and the food was lovely well impressed. We researched the local attractions ourself and found the nearby caves. They were amazing, definitely worth a visit. I would recommend the park.

We really enjoyed the restaurant. the food and the outside area. We were disappointed that we missed the sunday roast which ran out by 3.30, should not happen.! All the staff were very friendly though.

Grounds lovely and was nice to see the deer and peacocks. Loved the hot tub! The lodge wasn’t as well kept as hoped, some updates needed. Some area needed cleaning that seems to have been missed prior to arrival. I did ask for a cheese grater and the welcome pack on the first day but this never arrived during the 3 day stay. Still very much enjoyed

"Great setting shame about cleaning"

Mr J Oakey - Stayed with family, Sep 2023

The park is a fabulous setting and lodge size great, sadly let down by cleanliness. We had dirty knickers left, blister pack of medication on floor, empty packets in drawers. The crockery and cooker hob were filthy and greasy and a soaking wet dirty tea towel left.... The park is a fabulous setting and lodge size great, sadly let down by cleanliness. We had dirty knickers left, blister pack of medication on floor, empty packets in drawers. The crockery and cooker hob were filthy and greasy and a soaking wet dirty tea towel left. Table and benches were sticky & floor hadn’t been swept & spiderwebs everywhere. Spent the first day of a short break buying detol and cleaning although I drew the line at cleaning the filthy oven and ate out instead. The bedding and towels appeared clean so I’m guessing this is the only job the cleaners do. We left the lodge cleaner than found but certainly put us off ever returning which is sad because it is lovely location with deer and peacocks roaming around.

First impressed were great. Naturally stunning, loved the deers and peacocks. Unfortunately we found shards of glass in our hot tub and bundles of (dog?) hair in the front room. Who came on Saturday and cleaned out the hot tub and refilled it. We didn’t have use of the hot tub all Saturday. Then, on the Sunday, my partner was in the kitchen and found a human tooth! He thought it was our daughters got hers will wobbly and put it in my hand! I quickly realise it was definitely not my daughters, and was much bigger than anything in her mouth! Disgusting. The double bed was in two sections and our legs were higher than I had to sleep? So I ended up with a bad back after three nights. I don’t think we would return unfortunately.

Couldn’t fault, the cleaning nurse, the decor everything. And what can I say about the grounds? Absolutely perfect beautiful scenery I came for a short break to relax and I definitely come home relaxed. There was only one slight downfall which cannot be helped, but but a car parked outside my log cabin, the whole time I was there so I did spoil scenery a little bit went to reception see if anybody could do anything, but no one come out. But wow, definitely won’t stop me coming again thinking of coming in October . Best break I’ve had for a long long time, staff and everybody should be so proud of. What a lovely estate you all have.

We stayed in the Malham lodge and it exceeded all expectations. It was clean, large enough for 6 adults and still have space. We woke to the sheep grazing and the peacocks and deer just wandering around. The Deer and peacocks came to the lodge and allowed us to feed and pet the deer. If the weather had been better it would have topped the weekend off but sadly it did nothing but rain. This is the reason I have given 4 stars and not 5. I know Ribblesdale cannot control the weather but, maybe having an awning on the deck or at the side so people can still enjoy having BBQs and being outside.
