"Perfect, relaxing family holiday."

Mr J Hall - Stayed with family, Jan 2023

Very attentive staff and plenty of them. Restaurant reasonably priced considering it has a captive audience. Beautiful and peaceful location and the kids loved the deers and peacocks roaming about especially as they won’t go near a cat at home.

It’s always nice having a small Christmas tree provided and the hot tub is also a treat. This time we had a lodge where the hot tub was less private but the views were stunning and we enjoyed having the deer and peacocks visit each morning. We stay here as it’s convenient for family, handy having the restaurant on site and in a beautiful, peaceful setting. There are a few changes I feel are needed though given that the accommodation is marketed as high end luxury and relatively expensive for the area. Firstly the beds should be of a higher quality - Hypnos or similar - as this is what similar lodges we have stayed in have. In our lodge (64) the twin beds squeaked every time the children moved and the other beds were average quality. Also the toilets didn’t flush well, the sofas were dirty underneath and the lodge was missing touches such as a cafetière.

"Not as good as it used to be"

We had an early checkin we paid for but didn’t get, we got into the lodge around 2pm not 1pm as paid for. We requested the early checkin as we had somewhere we needed to be by 2:30. We missed this due to not being able to get into the lodge. We weren’t offered any money back or even a complementary tea or coffee for the inconvenience. Once we got into the lodge we went into the hot tub. This ended in us having to find a pharmacist to get eye wash and drops but to the high levels of chlorine in the water and having a severe reaction to it. It’s such a shame as we’ve stayed here many times before and loved it. Our last stay in the stable house and now the lodge will make us look elsewhere now as the customer service is shocking and care for guests is nonexistent. Very disappointing.

"Great 18th birthday celebration break!"

Mrs L Parker - Stayed with family, Dec 2022

We had two lodges for our weekend as there were 11 of us staying. There were a couple of things that we noticed straight away. The hot tub cover on lodge 63 is very worn and scruffy. There were a couple of things that we noticed straight away. The hot tub cover on lodge 63 is very worn and scruffy. The wine fridge also didn’t work in this lodge. In lodge 64, cleanliness was ok but there was a stain which looked like blood on the bed sheet in the double room. My daughter had to sleep on a towel as a result so comfort not at its best for her and it was her birthday we stayed for. Decking outside was very slippery and whilst this was ok for us, someone with less mobility may easily slip over. A few of us came back with bites too, not sure if they were from the beds or the hot tub but I just think a little more effort is needed regarding cleanliness.

Paid for early check in on malham lodge & requested number 66 - perfect position as at the end of a road so very quiet. Check in was swift & easy and we were allocated the lodge we requested. The lodge is lovely. It's 3 bedroomed with master with ensuite shower room. 2nd bedroom is double & 3rd is large twin. Nice sized family bathroom. Bedding, towels and loo rolls all provided. Rest of the lodge is open plan, corner sofa with chair in lounge. TV with smart functionality. Large 6 seater dining table & fully fitted kitchen (although ours was missing the wine chiller) my only criticism was the kettle was an old-fashioned hob kettle not electrical one - took a little longer for morning brew which for some is a deal breaker! Outside in secure garden is lovely with large 6 seater hot tub, maintained each day. Grounds are lovely and you might find local deer (ours came to the lodge) Would definitely visit again & recommend to everyone

"Been a few times to Ribblesdale Park but no deer this time."

Mr D Oliver - Stayed with family, Sep 2022

The setting of the park is very peaceful and quite beautiful with the autumn colours. The Malham lodges are large and spacious. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Disappointed that lodge was not ready on time and have not received a refund despite massaging... The setting of the park is very peaceful and quite beautiful with the autumn colours. The Malham lodges are large and spacious. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Disappointed that lodge was not ready on time and have not received a refund despite massaging them. Also found the gas oven very difficult to light. While the lodge was very clean it was strange to find a lot of mould on the shower hose and spray same as the time before in a different lodge. Last disappointment was the hot tub had to ask for temperature to be raised as it the water was warmer for the bath.

"Stunning Scenery and spacious lodge"

Ms A Joyce - Stayed with partner, Sep 2022

We stayed at a Malham Lodge 19th Sep 22. The lodge was clean and tidy with plenty of towels, kitchen equipment etc. we'd read comments about lack of electric kettle but there was a 'whistle' kettle for use on the hob that worked exactly the same so this was no issue whatsoever. Two bathrooms with bath and shower and good heating. The En-Suite just needed a clean of the drains as there was a very slight odour, but this did not detract from the holiday. The hot tub and enclosed garden were of a high standard and just the right temp. The attendant immediately helped when we requested a higher temperature. Hindelinis Restaurant provided a high quality of meals and drinks and had a great atmosphere. The staff across site were professional, helpful, friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The scenery and walks are outstanding and brimming with wildlife. A stag stopped outside our lodge on the first afternoon! Amazing!

The only downside was some residents/holiday makers didn’t have their dogs on a leash. Both outside their lodges and on the paths. This isn’t fair on other dog owners who have potentially reactive dogs - not sure what the site can do though, maybe more signs? Lodge The lodge was spacious, clean with a good kitchen. We got plenty of towels(2 in a 6 hearth though helps). The hot tub was well maintained, checked daily and clean. Two downsides - 1. The seating in the living room was old and the cushions so flat it was like sitting on the frame of the settee. 2.the outside, enclosed area wasn’t quite dog secure - the gate and some of the fencing could be escape routes for a dog. We had hoped it would be totally secure, we now know which lodges offer rhe more secure spaces so would try to book those on our return. Staff. Perfect, everyone who worked there that we delt with was friendly.
