Welcome to Gisburne Park Estate, one of Lancashire’s finest private estates, on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. A 1000 acres of picturesque Ribble Valley countryside, owned and managed by Amber and Guy Hindley and family. Nestled within the Estate is Ribblesdale Park, the North of England’s leading hot tub holiday destination. A collection of contemporary lodges, historic houses, cosy cottages or glorious glamping.
Huntsman’s Cottage is now fully refurbished and open as a holiday cottage. Situated on the edge of the Estate in an Area of Outstanding National Beauty it was built in 1678.
The cottage will sleep up to 8 people in 4 generously sized bedrooms. These bedrooms feature 1 super kind, 2 kings, and a twin bedroom. There is a house bathroom upstairs and each bedroom has a TV and DVD player. Downstairs is a large sitting room with a log burner and TV. There is also a spacious dining room and a kitchen with everything you need. There is also a shower room and loo and a utility room with a washer dryer. Outside there is a 1/2 acre garden, fenced off which is all yours to enjoy. Here is where you will find a luxury 6-person hot tub.
This cottage oozes all the charm and character you would expect from a listed country cottage; oak beams, asymmetrical walls, log burners and creaky floor boards. Its situated on the edge of an old farm and livery yard so if you don’t like animals then this isn’t the place for you…there are chickens, ducks, horses, ponies and all sorts down there.

Ernest our boxer dog had the whole paddock run about safely. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone. A truly enjoyable holiday.

We have been several times and stay in the Huntsman which I love. Just a few things this year: there were no bins for outside ie wheelie bins, dogs allowed but no dog bins, and also the light in the main bedroom was too far away to see yourself to do hair and makeup... Just a few things this year: there were no bins for outside ie wheelie bins, dogs allowed but no dog bins, and also the light in the main bedroom was too far away to see yourself to do hair and makeup in, the room was very dark. Other than that it was awesome and I’ll be rebooking!

We stayed in the Huntsman cottage and it was lovely we normally do a caravan break away and with dogs it can get quite cramped, so we decided to try a cottage and it’s the best thing we have decided to do it meant we could spend time with our extended family and our dogs without having to sit on top of each other. The cottage is spacious and the bedrooms were plenty big enough for the 8 of us. Only thing that I can say that was a bit disappointing was that the cottage was quite a distance from the site and not walkable with 2 OAP’s and a toddler so it did mean jumping in the car if we wanted to walk the estate or use any of the complex facilities. However if your a group of fit and healthy adults then the walk is totally doable it’s about a mile from the main site and 5 minutes in the car. The restaurant on site was lovely the food was amazing and the staff were really friendly and made for a good atmosphere. All in all a fabulous family break.

Satisfied with huntsman cottage. Hot tub was definite bonus. Only downside was oven not hot enough even on highest temp.

We have been to Ribblesdale many times and this was the first time in a cottage. We came with family and had such a lovely time together. We stayed in the huntsman which was so beautiful and had so much space. The team are always so helpful and friendly and we always feel like we come away from the park rested. As usual the standards are high and everything was spotless. We always book the afternoon tea for when we arrive and although we were delayed due to traffic the team were accommodating and made sure everything was ready for when we arrived. We have been many times as a couple and sharing with our family this time was just as special. We are excited to see the development at Ribblesdale and will most certainly continue to return.

The cottage itself and surrounding area was absolutely stunning. The only thing that let it down slightly (and why we haven't awarded 5 stars) is that there were quite a few issues with fixtures and fittings (such as the oven handle fell off and the shower handle fell off also, some fittings looked a little tired etc). Also when we mentioned issues to staff no one got back to us or even contacted us, and we mentioned these issues numerous times. We also wanted to extend our checkout, but again the communication from staff wasn't great. We had to contact them 4 times before we had an answer. Apart from these things the experience was fantastic, we adored the cottage and surrounding land...including the hot tub. We would love to go back and heard the huntsman cottage is soon to be getting a full refurb.

Shelves broken/missing in fridges. Could have been cleaner in places (dead flies on window ledge. Cobwebs) Overall good accommodation for 8 people though. Large patio with hot tub and furniture which must be amazing in good weather.

Maybe look at the lodges next time xx

The house itself was very clean but the fire pit was full of chicken bones which was pretty gross. We also didn’t get any advice or instructions around the hot tub. I messaged to ask for sun lounger toppers and was told we couldn’t have any and I found that a bit rubbish to be honest. Just take the sun loungers away or provide toppers!!! The huntsman provided great privacy and a lovely big garden which was great. Pool was good and Hindelinis fine. Local area amazing.
