Lovely lodge, lovely area, nice quiet location. However, to advertise free Wi-Fi this really needs addressing, the Wi-Fi was so poor that we struggled watching the TV. And TV is a basic facility in a lodge.

Booked online as a late Christmas break with our children after seeing the discounts advertised, and after a tough year health wise. I tried on numerous occasions to book online using the discount codes, but none would work. I phoned in the end and, after checking with someone else, the receptionist told me it was because it was a Christmas break, so the discount wasn't allowed. These exclusions need to be clearly stated as by this point it was too late for me to book elsewhere. Our trip was 22nd - 25th December but, other than 4 crackers and a turkey roasting tin, it wasn't very festive. We decided due to the bad weather we'd make it a few days to relax and watch Christmas films. The online description of the lodge stated it had a DVD player, so we bought old Christmas films on DVD, only to discover the description was incorrect and we couldn't watch them. The WiFi dropped out constantly so we couldn't watch a film on the TV either. To pay almost £1000 for this is disappointing.

First impressions looked good then discovered several faults. Internal doors didn’t shut properly so no privacy. Twin bedroom door particularly faulty and resulted in us getting locked in there as it did not open properly from the inside. Phoned maintenance who didn’t seem to grasp the severity of the situation a) being that our baby was asleep in the other room and b) it’s a massive fire hazard. Was met with a bad attitude, comments that they didn’t see what the problem was. Kitchen tap was wobbly and hard to turn on. Waste pipe of draining part of sink not connected properly resulting in water all over floor. No outside lighting so unable to use hot tub at night. Living room floor not cleaned properly which resulted in baby covered in marks after crawling around. Paid £50 for dog to come and weren’t given a thing for him. Have paid same at similar venues and been provided with bed, bowls etc. Very few amenities not even oven glove, rubbish bags. 1 positive-restaurant food really good

Ribblesdale Park is a beautiful site and seeing the deer and the peacocks was amazing. Unfortunately we had a few problems in our lodge, first night we got there and there was no hot water, my partner went to the reception to mention and they said they would send maintenance, being a Friday night we didn't expect anyone to come that night but 10 minutes later they did. The only way they could get us hot water was to reduce the flow of water so for the rest of the week it took ages to fill the bath just enough to wash the kids, definately couldn't use the whirlpool part of the bath. We saw people coming into the garden every morning, presumably checking the hot tub but by Wednesday night there was a funny foisty smell and Thursday night it smelt like a fish tank and the seats were slimy so unusable. The lodge generally looked well used and a bit tired. Ultimately the staff are a credit to the business and we were glad there was plenty to do in the area to be able to get out daily.

Maintenance manager turned up at 10:30 trying to get hot water working in lodge wasn’t successful Luke warm. Also the hot water tub was at 20° and couldn’t be used as it takes several hours to heat up three 3 C per hour meant that the hot tub wouldn’t be on for minimum 7 hours at plus 30c.didn’t use it a waste of time.

The lodge was perfect for our family with a lovely garden area and perfect hot tub. The grounds, deer and peacock are all amazing. Travelled to Pendle Hill, Malham Cove and Gisburn Forest for gorgeous days out! Definitely recommend!

I first visited Ribblesdale in February with my Husband and recently returned last week with my daughter & mum. We absolutely love Ribblesdale, the park, the staff, Hindelinis, local area etc. The lodges are so spacious, clean and has everything you need. The bonus this time was they pool was open, which was fantastic as we picked a sunny week, however i must say it was extremely busy (mid august) and no enough seats - maybe a time slot or something would help people have some time to fully enjoy the outdoor pool. Staff are so helpful, friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Hindelinis - onsite restaurant is beautiful. Fridays they normally have live music on. The food is fresh and always so nice. They cook everything to perfection - if only we lived closer as we would definitely be regulars. The park - beautiful local walks, even on site there is plenty places to walk. The nature on the park is so surreal. The stags, the peacocks, the sheep are so tame.
