Overall was a lovely experience, exactly what I needed but it looks a bit bigger on the photos on social media. On arrival there was left over tea in the sink that presumably someone had been cleaning the kabina before our arrival and had thrown the left over down the drain. I’m not normally picky but hygiene to me is extremely important, it could have been a bit more clean but the bed was super comfortable and massive so it made up for it! The day we left, our checkout time was 10am, we got up early to have one last hot tub dip and the hot tub people came to clean out the tub. (We still had 1 hour till check out) I found this quite rude as we were having our breakfast outside and they were right next to us cleaning it out.

Me and my partner normally go on city breaks so this holiday was a change for us, and we were definitely pleasantly surprised. The campsite was in a lovely area, only 0.5 miles from the nearest town and a 30 minute drive to York. On arrival (and throughout our visit) staff were lovely and welcoming and answered all our questions, they were more than happy to help. We stayed in a Kabana which was lovely and clean on arrival, and we witnessed the hot tub being emptied at the end of our stay so there is do doubt of cleanliness there! Baxby Manor is a wonderful place to stay that provides excellent value for money if you are looking for a quieter break, but still wish to be in reach of activities.

The campsite is lovely and has great facilities whether camping or staying in one of the kabinas. We stayed in a kabina and it had everything we needed and more. The on-site food was incredible and the little shop had all the little bits we needed too. I would highly recommend and come again.

I was extremely lucky to win a 2 night stay in one of baxby manors kabinas this summer and it was absolutely stunning. The welcome was really friendly and the site was easy to navigate, definitely read the directions and instructions in your email to get to the site itself. The accommodation was great, lovely comfy armchairs and beds, a fab little kitchen, lovely modern bathroom and the bonus of our own hot tub. The site itself was so quiet and peaceful. Perfect for relaxing and recharging! We did a couple of walks from the site during our stay and up to nearby villages. The pub (plum and partridge) a 5 min walk from the site was really nice for a mid afternoon drink in the sun.We also treated ourselves to a pizza from the on-site pizza shack. They were absolutely amazing, probably the nicest pizza we’ve ever had! Overall an absolutely fantastic break and will definitely return. Thank you to everyone who made our stay fabulous.

Very friendly team, easy check in process. Lovely little place, well equipped cabin. We were the only ones in the area during our stay so it was wonderfully quiet. The Pizza Shack was a great addition and served some great pizza and sides at very reasonable prices. Great countryside location but also close enough to York for a day sightseeing.

The kabina we stayed in was very nice and cosy, compact with everything you need, there’s shops nearby (Tesco about 20 minute drive away) however during the summer there is a slight flies problem, not at fault with the people there just when it’s hotter there tends to be flies everywhere in the kabinas, be wary when you open the doors during the night as well. The pizza shack does probably the best food I’ve had in a while we ate there every night bar Sunday, reasonably priced as well. Will definitely come again.

Stayed in Kabina 3. Lovely cabin, well furnished, very clean comfy bed. Unfortunately not much hot water in kitchen/bathroom, but shower was lovely and warm. The oven/microwave was in a corner, almost on floor with no light a, had to use torch on phone and get down on our hand an knees, also no instructions had to look the up on internet not ideal when we 70 years plus.Despite this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, as plenty of wildlife and good walks, local pub. The hot tub was lovely very clean. Would recommend
