Baxby Manor, situated on the edge of Husthwaite village, was built in 1308 and is nestled between the Yorkshire Dales and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. The perfect place to stay for those wanting to be close to nature but also have the option to visit locals towns and attractions.
Our double Ecopods sleep up to 2 people in a double bed with a mattress. There is no electricity in the Ecopods because that just would not be eco-glamping, with soul now would it! There are lanterns for T-lights though, so you can sit outside and gaze at the stars.
You will need to bring your own bedding (sheet, duvet/sleeping bag and pillows) and perhaps some chairs for sitting around the campfire and toasting some marshmallows.
Campfire cooking only, there is no cooking facilities inside so bring a camping stove with you so you do not have to crank up the fire in the morning for that bacon sarnie!
Each Ecopod has its own fire-pit. One dog is welcome in one of our Double Pods.
We have a pristine clean shower and toilet block, a small shop stocked full of essentials as well as fridges and pot washing room. We pride ourselves in our eco-friendly facilities, our state-of-the-art wood pellet Biomass boiler will heat the water to the perfect temperature.
Our campsite The Hideaway promote an eco-ethos ‘As little impact on the environment as possible’. For us, sustainability is key, for the benefit of future generations. Where possible we use renewable energy sources and ask all campers to recycle!
At Baxby Manor, we have a whole host of incredible wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for otters who live in Ings Beck. Look out for buzzards and kingfishers flying above and of course rabbits, stoats, weasels and squirrels playing amongst the trees. If you look closely, you may even spot a bat!

As above. Bit disappointed re the noise as it kept myself and my son awake for a long time and we didn’t have any phone etc to make a call to anyone nor know the number.

We have stayed At the Baxby Manor campsite many times and we keep going back because it is nice and peaceful and very cleannice pizza hut on site also good pub just a short walk from the campsite, also nice to light a campfire on the night,you can buy the logsat the campsite shop

everything was great except the bed, which was very uncomfortable unfortunately , but location, amenities & staff all first class

We have stayed At Baxby Manor eight times now, and go back there at least twice a year,very friendly staff plus very clean amenities,enjoy a pizza on a night time from the on site pizza hut sitting round the camp fire, we recommended Baxby Manor to some friends and they are going there September

We had a two nights stay to meet up with family. We will be returning to the Hideaway for a longer stair where we will be able to explore the area more widely.Facilities were really good, toilets and showers nice and clean. We really enjoyed the pizza shack, but most of all we really enjoyed having a fire pit!All in all a very quirky and very nice camping site..

Stayed in one of the pods for theee nights. Pod was clean and fresh. Bed was comfortable. Excellent toilets and showers. Lovely site. Pizza shack was the best. Would highly recommend.

This was our second time visiting baxby manor staying in an eco pop, everything is lovely and peaceful beautiful surroundings, lovely place if you enjoy nature, quiet time and lovely country walks. We took our dog who also loves to walk, great dog facilities too including a dog shower which was definitely needed We will highly recommend this place to others and will most definitely be returning

The little fairy lights didn't work in the pod, what we could have done with as we didn't arrive till late.But the pod was stunning Toilet / shower where so clean and tidy

Lovely long weekend break at Baxby Manor eco pod. The staff were very helpful and friendly! The facilities were lovely and clean. The campsite is in a lovely area and the team have thought about everything you could need. The pizzas were delicious. Great location for exploring Yorkshire. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely book again!
