Accepted Baxby Manor, situated on the edge of Husthwaite village, was built in 1308 and is nestled between the Yorkshire Dales and the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors. The perfect place to stay for those wanting to be close to nature but also have the option to visit locals towns and attractions.
Our double Ecopods sleep up to 2 people in a double bed with a mattress. There is no electricity in the Ecopods because that just would not be eco-glamping, with soul now would it! There are lanterns for T-lights though, so you can sit outside and gaze at the stars.
You will need to bring your own bedding (sheet, duvet/sleeping bag and pillows) and perhaps some chairs for sitting around the campfire and toasting some marshmallows.
Campfire cooking only, there is no cooking facilities inside so bring a camping stove with you so you do not have to crank up the fire in the morning for that bacon sarnie!
Each Ecopod has its own fire-pit. One dog is welcome in one of our Double Pods.
We have a pristine clean shower and toilet block, a small shop stocked full of essentials as well as fridges and pot washing room. We pride ourselves in our eco-friendly facilities, our state-of-the-art wood pellet Biomass boiler will heat the water to the perfect temperature.
Our campsite The Hideaway promote an eco-ethos ‘As little impact on the environment as possible’. For us, sustainability is key, for the benefit of future generations. Where possible we use renewable energy sources and ask all campers to recycle!
At Baxby Manor, we have a whole host of incredible wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for otters who live in Ings Beck. Look out for buzzards and kingfishers flying above and of course rabbits, stoats, weasels and squirrels playing amongst the trees. If you look closely, you may even spot a bat! The little fairy lights didn't work in the pod, what we could have done with as we didn't arrive till late.But the pod was stunning Toilet / shower where so clean and tidy

Lovely long weekend break at Baxby Manor eco pod. The staff were very helpful and friendly! The facilities were lovely and clean. The campsite is in a lovely area and the team have thought about everything you could need. The pizzas were delicious. Great location for exploring Yorkshire. Overall we really enjoyed our experience and would definitely book again!

We came here to live the simple life, to cook over and sit by the fire, surrounded by nature without missing the comforts of a roof above our heads and a hot shower in the morning. And we wanted to take our dog. This was the perfect spot. We really enjoyed ourselves, it was peacefully quiet and we were surrounded by wildlife: birds everywhere and on our first night even an owl flew by only a few meters away. Firewood was available at the small shop as well as fresh eggs from the campsite's own chicken. Bathrooms and kitchen were exceptionally clean - it really works if everyone does his bit - and staff friendly and helpful. Thanks for having us!

Me and my mam stayed here for two nights in the ecopod, the campsite was lovely, and the pizza shack has great food, only thing we thought to improve was check out time; 10am is to early- we though 12pm might be more reasonable as checkin is not till 2pm at the earliest and 4pm if booked. Other than that, we definitely will be back again.

It's the first time I've stayed in an 'eco-pod' and what a great idea! Everything that comes with camping apart from the faff of putting up and packing away a tent (Plus a comfy bed) The onsite Pizza / Breakfast hut is excellent quality and kept me fed in my stay. There is a small store onsite, with a small selection of essentials too - Very handy. The washrooms / toilets are excellent - Clean and well equipped. As was the pod itself - A Simple, clean and cosy wooden hut with a bed and bench I'll certainly be back!

I honestly cant complain at all. For someone like me that suffers with bad mental health, depression, anxiety and really bad overthinking baxby manor is the perfect place. I have finally found a place that brings me pure peace. The food is incredible and i would travel just for that pizza. (Yes its that good) If we could live there we would.

Super cozy cabins at a reasonable price, a fridge to store cold items, good bathroom facilities on site and a place to charge your phone before you leave. Everything I needed for a couple nights of camping! Hosts were very accommodating, they went out of their way to find cooking utensils for me, a flashlight and got my fairy lights working when they were out the first night. Would return!

Had a great time and planning to return. Very dog friendly.Pizza shack worth a visit- amazing food.Eco pod was clean and was a good experience. You can buy anything to need from camp shop.We had good weather which was great too.

Another fantastic stay at a gem of a place. Spotlessly clean, great, friendly staff & well run, facilities are 2nd to none & all plaudits as usual. Only small areas for improvement are bigger car park spaces & ability to pre-order for the evening at the shack .Can’t wait for my next stay

Beautiful campsite with everything you need to make the camping experience easier. Toilets and showers were always impeccable and the water was hot. A fantastic drying room which was really useful with the poor weather we had. Onsite snack cabin was amazing for treats and breakfast goodies. Our eco pod was lovely and warm. So pretty when the fairylights twinkled. Perfect location for exploring all that North Yorkshire has to offer.
