Mountain View Chalet

We have stayed at Grantown on Spey park before with a motor home. The site is good , well placed for seeing the area and close to nice small town . But this time we hired Mountain View chalet. It is for two people, which is fine but it was under equipped with the... We have stayed at Grantown on Spey park before with a motor home. The site is good , well placed for seeing the area and close to nice small town . But this time we hired Mountain View chalet. It is for two people, which is fine but it was under equipped with the basics. No bucket or mop to clean floors , an inadequate brush to sweep out or sweep decking. The bathroom was very small. The shower was excellent but the sink in the bathroom not big enough to clean your teeth! The glass entrance door needs a door stop or catch to stop it blowing about when it’s open to let air in. The price does not reflect the chalet at all. Very disappointed for the price

The lodge was lovely and immaculate, and all the staff very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay in the very comfortable & very clean Mountain View, with some friends staying in their caravan & some in the Lapwing Pods. The site is well run & clearly well cared for, with the toilet blocks being excellent. We had a fantastic view,... The site is well run & clearly well cared for, with the toilet blocks being excellent. We had a fantastic view, which with a bit of sunshine, was just fab! We had our own camping chairs, so could sit comfortably out on the decking & absorb the view. My only feedback was that the TV was very small, which on the opening weekend of the Commonwealth Games, was a bit frustrating, but only a very minor point overall . This was our 2nd time in Mountain View & I expect we will be back!

It would be helpful to have general instructions eg where to find.detailed instructions on appliances. The TV remote was difficult to operate.

We have twice stayed in the Mountain View chalet it was spotless and the facilities were spot on and the view was spectacular,we are returning in October with our grandson and are staying in one of the pods

We enjoyed our stay at the mountain view lodge, a bit tight for space but we knew this upfront. The view is breathtaking and shows the best of what the Cairngorms can offer. However, on a sunny day whilst sitting on the decking we discovered a lot of wasp activity around the guttering of the roof. My wife being stung once and ended up with a severe allergic reaction was very concerned. We were dissapointed with the rather lackluster response to deal with the wasp nest under the roof and left 2 days early.

Very satisfied with the small chalet. Very comfortable and well located. Very clean and tidy.

My Daughter and Family were on site with their own caravan. My wife and myself stayed in Mountain View. This Lodge was excellent for the two of us, with superb views over the site and the hills beyond. The accommodation was very clean and in very good condition. The...
