The Moel Pod is built from local timbers and has an uninterrupted views of Moel Elio and Mynydd Mawr mountains. The Pod is very well insulated and has heating and lighting (inside and outside), as well as two power points.
Camp fires are permitted in a fire basket hired from reception.
Outside there is a BBQ, cooking area, picnic table and a water point. The campsite showers and toilet facilities are close by. The Moel pod sits in its own area.
Please be aware there are no beds in the Pods and you need to bring everything you might need for a camping trip apart from the tent.
Set on a traditional Welsh sheep farm, this family run Campsite and Self-Catering accommodation lies at the foot of the Moel Ellio Mountain with Snowdon nestled behind. Tyn-yr-Onnen is the perfect spot for those who want to experience Snowdon, go off the beaten track and enjoy the farms breath taking scenery. The facilities include modern toilet blocks with free hot showers, baby changing facilities, disabled shower room and a utility room. The campsite has a play park, a television room with table tennis and a pool table.
From the farm there are 100’s of acres of heath land to explore where you may meet our sheep, donkeys, lamas, pigs, ponies, chickens, ducks and turkeys. If you visit us in the spring, you can see some of our new born lambs. Walks to Mynyndd Mawr and Moel Elio mountains are easily accessible from the site, the most adventurous can even walk to the summit of Snowdon - we will be happy to recommend some of our favourite walks.
It’s not all about mountains and walking, there are castles to explore in Caernafon and Beaumaris, and the beautiful beaches in the Llyn Peninsular and the Isle of Anglesey. The Welsh Highland Railway Station in the village is a pleasant walk from the Campsite. Zipworld with the fastest zipline in the world is easily accessible by car. A short drive brings you to the village of Llanberis with the famous train to the summit of Snowdon, Electric Mountain, LLanberis Slate museum, and so much more.

Very beautiful place surrounded with mountains and hill, very clean farm,me and my kids really enjoyed the stay, very great staff 100% going back.

Staff very friendly and site very easy to get around. Moel Pod was perfect as it meant we were able to park just off the campsite, which enabled us to leave in the early hours to climb Snowdon without disturbing any of their residents.

Tyn-yr-Onnen Farm was a nice, clean and quiet campsite with excellent amenities on site. The toilets were extremely clean and the showers were hot with good water pressure. The views were fantastic and it was a very peaceful place to relax and unwind. Moel Pod was warm and well situated and the covered area outside meant that I could relax outside even in poor weather. The pod would definitely benefit from having a bed, as sleeping in a sleeping bag on the wooden floor was slightly uncomfortable.Overall, a fantastic stay with friendly staff and great facilities.

Beautiful scenery, great location for all there is to do in and around Snowdonia. Spacious camping pods with plenty of outside space.My daughter loved that the playground and donkeys were right beside the pod, however this meant it was not the most peaceful pod location. Clean, hot showers and clean toilets. Tidy and clean utility room with fridge freezers. - 10 mins from Snowdon Ranger path- 20 mins from Dinas Dinlle beach- 15 mins from Caernarfon- 1 hr from Bounce Below- 5 mins from Snowdonia Riding Stables

We had a great stay at the farm, my children loved that they could feed the donkeys and the lambs. We stayed in a pod which was nice and warm and had the most scenic views. Great walks straight from the site and a good pub in walking distance. The site was very clean and the staff were great , very chatty and helpful with knowledge on places to visit. I would definitely stay here again, the only thing my husband wasn't keen on was the wifi not being very good.

The Moel Pod was extremely spacious and very warm even on a very cold night. Even though you can't park right next to this particular pod, it it is only a very short walk to unload your stuff. The pod is next to the children's park so it was perfect for us as it meant the children could play and we could still see them whilst sat outside the pod. Toilets were always very clean and the utility room area was great for being able to use the microwave and freezer.We will be back again in the future.

We stayed in the moel pod which had its own bench and BBQ. the view directly outside was amazing. We was worried about being too close to other guests with dogs as we brought our cats but the moel pod is quite remote which worked in our favour. You can control your own heating temperature in the pod and the toilets weren’t too far.

We booked fairly last minute to stay in a pod. To be honest I didn’t look at the site properly and had no idea what was there. We just wanted to escape for a few days. To our delight we’d managed to book onto the most lovely campsite with amazing friendly staff. We will definitely return.
