An Oasis of Tranquillity in Cornwall, Ruthern Valley Camping Pods (with electric) sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children, a fantastic wooden tent to keep you warm and dry – you do need to bring all your camping gear except the tent; they are not equipped but the camping pods offer a convenient alternative to the tent and retain all the ambiance of the ‘camping holiday’. They are set in designated areas within the site and they are ready and waiting for you with more privacy than a tent and much more comfort for family glamping on the Cornish coast!

Outside they have wooden decks to sit out on, cook and enjoy the beautiful Cornwall countryside.

If you book to go glamping in Cornwall you will find woodland walks right on your doorstep and Ruthern Valley Camping Pods are in an ideal location, central to all Cornwall has to offer.

Hire a bike right from the shop and cycle to the Camel Valley Vineyard, Grogley Woods or Bodmin Gaol! If cycling isn't your thing you can chill on some of the best beaches along the Cornish coast or take advantage of this location for glamping to visit the Eden Project, the infamous millennium project in Cornwall.

Sea spray on the north coast, balmy breezes in the south, scrumptious Cornish food, wild moor ponies and mysterious quoits. Cornwall has so much in store for you.

"Mould"

Mrs S Pullen - Stayed with family, Aug 2023

Unfortunately encountered mould and damp in the camping pod. Not sure they are aware of it as it wasn't acknowledged in my email when I asked if they knew about it. I would like to think that future holidaymakers won't be allowed to stay in a confined space like that... Unfortunately encountered mould and damp in the camping pod. Not sure they are aware of it as it wasn't acknowledged in my email when I asked if they knew about it. I would like to think that future holidaymakers won't be allowed to stay in a confined space like that with damp and mould, especially with children like us so hopefully they will sort it for the future. An apology for the mould would have been appreciated.

"Mould in wooden camping pod"

Mrs S Pullen - Stayed with family, Aug 2023

The park setting is lovely and the toilets and shower facilities were nice and clean. The pod looked nice from the outside. Unfortunately our camping pod smelled damp and mould was present inside. Upon emailing the site following our visit to notify them of the mould... The park setting is lovely and the toilets and shower facilities were nice and clean. The pod looked nice from the outside. Unfortunately our camping pod smelled damp and mould was present inside. Upon emailing the site following our visit to notify them of the mould so they could remedy it for future holidaymakers, sadly I received no apology for the mould being in the accomodation or any acknowledgement that they knew about it or reassurance that they were going to get it sorted. It was our choice to go home early from the holiday but it would have been appreciated and professional to acknowledge the mould issue but it seems to have been ignored. Photos show some of the mould inside.

"Highly recommended"

K Toth - Stayed with family, Oct 2022

Amazing place and area, such well equipped camping. There is everything you need on the site, pods are private and secluded, you couldn't ask for more. Such peaceful place, communal areas are sparkling clean, one of the best camping site I've ever seen.

"First impressions and summary"

M Ross - Stayed Oct 2022

I stayed in a pod which was very cosy, the heater was toasty and I was right in the woods. Only five minutes cycle to the camel trail. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful, cosy place to stay :) x

"First impressions lovely we were greeted by the female owner who was lovely. About 5 o'clock after we had only been there an hour and a half we were approached by the male owner who was not very friendly he didn't even say hello he instantly told us rule"

Mrs L Howard - Stayed with family, Sep 2022

We were told noise travels no radio, quiet time at 10.30pm they were a tranquil site this was at 5pm the male owner arrived to us in a golf buggy no hello we had just arrived 😔really abrupt not friendly atall!! Security cameras everywhere pointing at the pods, sighns... We were told noise travels no radio, quiet time at 10.30pm they were a tranquil site this was at 5pm the male owner arrived to us in a golf buggy no hello we had just arrived 😔really abrupt not friendly atall!! Security cameras everywhere pointing at the pods, sighns every where that we felt were a bit harsh and abrupt. We went with children one who has autism and felt they couldn't laugh play or be free wich is what camping is about!! Definitely think this would be more suitable as a adults only as we didn't feel comfortable laughing talking or even walking around 😓 We arrived at 5 got told the rules and went to bed at 10 we woke up and left by 7 really disappointed in the experience as it was a beautiful setting.

"Tranquil Campsite"

Ms G Page - Stayed with partner, Aug 2022

Very quite, calm and relaxing location. We stayed in a pod which is surrounded by trees and has privacy. Toilet and washing up block very clean. Bikes and wetsuits/bodyboards to rent for the day. Works out a lot cheaper than renting when you get to bike trail or beach.... Very quite, calm and relaxing location. We stayed in a pod which is surrounded by trees and has privacy. Toilet and washing up block very clean. Bikes and wetsuits/bodyboards to rent for the day. Works out a lot cheaper than renting when you get to bike trail or beach. Parking allocated per pitch. Some solar lights on paths to the toilet block would be great at night and make you feel more safe. Great value for money It’s a drive to the beach and most attractions. Don’t know of a bus that runs nearby? Some lovely pubs a drive away. The only down side for us was the pod had damp on the ceiling and side of pod on inside. We had a fair amount of rain that weekend and so pod smelt of damp.

"Exactly what I was hoping for"

Miss M Barnett - Stayed Jun 2022

The glamping pod was really nice, exactly what I needed and set back into some trees so it felt fairly secluded! The facilities, bathrooms and washing areas were well resourced.
