My wife and I stayed for One Night, it was a Red Letter Day gift and we wanted to try a glamping pod. We were not disappointed. What a find Ruthern Valley is. Just peaceful from the word go. Beautiful, tranquil setting. Facilities were clean. Friendly and welcoming owners. We will definitely be back, probably even try a lodge. We would highly recommend Ruthern Valley.

I was pleasantly surprised to be situated on a lovely site with a variety of accommodation. The wigwam was spacious, had electric ports, a mini fridge freezer, a microwave, a kettle and a heater. The seating area turned into a big sleeping area. The site had a handful of toilets and showers which were always clean and practical. There was also an area to get water and wash dishes. Staff were friendly, accommodating and kept us informed. My short drive from Padstow involved a lot of narrow roads and you must drive to get to the location, but it wasn’t far from local amenities. Overall, great value for money and would love to stay at the other accommodation on site next time.

This campsite isn’t for all but suited our needs, it is in the middle of no where about a 15 min drive to Bodmin. The pod we stayed in had a musty smell. However lovely owners and cute small shop everyone around was very friendly!! They could do with a Dropbox for early departures

What an absolute gem!! Stayed here for the first time on our way to our usual holiday spot to break up the long journey. Brilliant location, lovely and friendly and super helpful. So peaceful and calm, kids loved the pod, play area, pigs and chickens too. The shop is well stocked and has everything you could need. Will be a regular visitor from now on - Wonderful place!

lovely site, peaceful, friendly staff, clean in the pod and the toilet and shower facilities, expected standard of accommodation, close to walk and cycle routes, pubs and Bodmin

Site is located in the forest, my favourite... It's not far from main roads however, with straight forward 30min drive to the seaside. Bigger cabins are more exposed but all glamping pods are hidden in the forest, which gives the impression of intimacy. There's shower block with very clean facilities, hut itself was clean and comfortable as well.We stayed only one night so didn't get to explore everything that holiday site offers, but we really liked it and would love to return in future.

It was a lovely location and looked really beautiful. The area is so peaceful however I was disappointed there was no toilet paper in the toilets throughout my whole stay. A really nice weekend away the Shepards huts were cosy and I would stay again

The campsite is so gorgeous, beautiful bright flowers everywhere and little Robbins coming to visit us every morning. The showers/toilets were really clean, hot water...perfect after a long day hiking. The campsite itself was so quiet only the sound of tweeting birds, honestly was the most perfect week away. We hired bikes from the campsite and did the Camel Trail would definitely recommend. The owners were so helpful and always around if you needed something. The whole surrounding area was so lovely. This was our first time staying in a pod we definitely won't be forgetting it.
