Mains Farm Caravan Site is a family run quiet touring park, set in the countryside well away from main roads, yet within easy reach of the Lake District, Hadrian’s Wall and the Scottish Borders.

Mains Farm offers a choice of 12 camping pods where you can enjoy spectacular views of the Eden Valley. Each pod includes electric, lighting, electric heater for cool winter nights, a porch for sitting out and a picnic bench for dining.

Outstanding peaceful, rural location with spectacular views of the Eden Valley in Cumbria. Enjoy walks direct from the glamping site in the Lake District including a lovely, short riverside walk to the village of Kirkoswald, which has a shop, post office and a choice of two Inns. Ullswater is less than 15 miles away where you will find some fantastic walking routes. One of our favourite routes takes in Lacy's Caves and Long Meg Stone Cirle. The C2C cycle route is within 1 mile of the site and an 18 hole golf course is only a 10 minute drive away. There is an enclosed children's play area with swings and slides for those wanting a family glamping break in the Lake District or why not visit the Lazonby heated outdoor swimming pool from your glampsite at Mains Farm.

We were shown to the pod and shown where the amenities were and then left to settle in. We went for a look around and the showers/toilets in the converted barn were at a high standard and were clean and tidy and well stocked of toilet paper. The farm itself is in a lovely area, with beautiful views over the river eden. We had a walk along the banks in the evening and it was so peaceful with the sheep and lambs and duck and ducklings. We couldn't have chosen a more peaceful place to relax even if it was just for one night. We will definitely go back

The campsite is located in the heart of the Eden Valley, surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside. The campsite is well-maintained and has a variety of facilities, including a shower block, a laundry room, and a communal kitchen. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and they are always happy to help with anything you need. We stayed in a glamping pod, which was a great experience. The pod was spacious and comfortable, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The farm was also well-equipped, with a kitchenette, a dining area, and a private bathroom. We loved sitting on the deck of the pod in the evening, enjoying the views of the countryside. We would definitely recommend Mains Farm Campsite to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway. The pods are perfect for a couple with their two dogs. We had a wonderful time at Mains Farm Campsite, and we can't wait to go back!

Facilities were fantastic, all clean and ready for use, playground close by so very safe for children, my 6 year old was off all day playing. Location is easy to get to but safe for children who love to roam free. Price was an acceptable amount for what you get, stayed in a cabin me and my daughter, just enough room. Nice walks around which are marked on a map given by Julia and Robert, both lovely people and helpful, nice to see they around the camp always up for a conversation and help when need so. Lambs were out and hand reared lambs on site that children could go and see. Absolutely will visit again
