An Oasis of Tranquillity in Cornwall, Ruthern Valley Camping Pods (NO electric) sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children, a fantastic wooden tent to keep you warm and dry – you do need to bring all your camping gear except the tent; they are not equipped but the camping pods offer a convenient alternative to the tent and retain all the ambiance of the ‘camping holiday’. They are set in designated areas within the site and they are ready and waiting for you with more privacy than a tent and much more comfort for family glamping on the Cornish coast!
Outside they have wooden decks to sit out on, cook and enjoy the beautiful Cornwall countryside.
If you book to go glamping in Cornwall you will find woodland walks right on your doorstep and Ruthern Valley Camping Pods are in an ideal location, central to all Cornwall has to offer.
Hire a bike right from the shop and cycle to the Camel Valley Vineyard, Grogley Woods or Bodmin Gaol! If cycling isn't your thing you can chill on some of the best beaches along the Cornish coast or take advantage of this location for glamping to visit the Eden Project, the infamous millennium project in Cornwall.
Sea spray on the north coast, balmy breezes in the south, scrumptious Cornish food, wild moor ponies and mysterious quoits. Cornwall has so much in store for you.

Really enjoyed our stay - only comment was that the camping pod we stayed was a little smaller than expected (2 adults and 2 teenagers) - would have been better suited to 2 adults with 2 younger children? Great that we could hire bikes from the camp-site to experience... Great that we could hire bikes from the camp-site to experience the nearby Camel Trail.
Many thanks for your review. Yes the pod is snug for four adults. We'll try to make this clearer on our new upcoming website. We hope we'll see you again. Best regards, Andrew & Nicky

They provided a stump for a BBQ, and there was plenty of room for us all and our bags. The shop was well stocked, and the site itself is very peaceful. The only thing I would say is that it is a very small toilet block (two toilets) and one toilet was closed off due to social distancing (completely understandable). More showers than toilets, but they were very clean. The hand soap dispenser had run out and wasn't filled for a couple hours, as was the anti-bac spray, which we had to bring up on checking out. Apart from that, it was a lovely stay, thank you!

It was in the most lovely surroundings! Quiet and peaceful right in the Cornish country side. The pod was more than adequate and clean, the campsite was really easy to get to, and easy to get to other places in Cornwall. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends, a really great find.
Thank you for such a lovely review. We're glad you found us and we look forward to seeing you again! Andrew & Nicky
