An Oasis of Tranquillity in Cornwall, Ruthern Valley Camping Pods (NO electric) sleep up to 2 adults and 2 children, a fantastic wooden tent to keep you warm and dry – you do need to bring all your camping gear except the tent; they are not equipped but the camping pods offer a convenient alternative to the tent and retain all the ambiance of the ‘camping holiday’. They are set in designated areas within the site and they are ready and waiting for you with more privacy than a tent and much more comfort for family glamping on the Cornish coast!

Outside they have wooden decks to sit out on, cook and enjoy the beautiful Cornwall countryside.

If you book to go glamping in Cornwall you will find woodland walks right on your doorstep and Ruthern Valley Camping Pods are in an ideal location, central to all Cornwall has to offer.

Hire a bike right from the shop and cycle to the Camel Valley Vineyard, Grogley Woods or Bodmin Gaol! If cycling isn't your thing you can chill on some of the best beaches along the Cornish coast or take advantage of this location for glamping to visit the Eden Project, the infamous millennium project in Cornwall.

Sea spray on the north coast, balmy breezes in the south, scrumptious Cornish food, wild moor ponies and mysterious quoits. Cornwall has so much in store for you.

I had an amazing time at the Ruthern Valley camping pods! The location was great and had lots of things to do. The staff were great help and very friendly, the shop was stocked up for all the essentials with lots of variety for everyones needs! My partner and I went for a lovely bike ride along the camel trail. We hired the bikes out for the day from the park, the only problem with the bikes were that one of the bikes chain kept repeatedly falling off and it became quite annoying as we couldn't select any other gears. The pod we stayed in was nice and cosy and came with a light, which wasn't the brightest, so I would still recommend bringing your own. We felt safe and secure and had some nice, friendly camping neighbours! Our pod was down the very end of the park which was very quiet however we couldn't enjoy ourselves sitting outside due to the amount of wasps that swarmed our pod. May have been wasps nest above in trees? Other then that I would certainly: check this place out if you've never been before, recommend it to family/friends and would definitely stay again!

"A lovely campsite in a great area"

A Marker - Stayed with friends, Aug 2017

A great campsite with lots of local attractions and places to go. We stayed in a pod, which was warm, dry, clean and perfect for a camping getaway. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and are a great source of knowledge of the local area.

My friend and I stayed in one of the pods for one night as we were walking the Saints Way and it was the nearest accommodation we could get. Whilst it was a good mile and a quarter's detour to the campsite, when we arrived we received a very friendly welcome from the owner who was most helpful. The pod was just as it looked online, however one side of our pod was damp and my belongings were not dry in the morning. Otherwise the campsite was well kept and the shower and toilet facilities were clean. Would definitely recommend this site to other campers.

Really last minute summer booking. Very friendly campsite - both staff and other campers. Having stayed in this kind of accommodation before I felt it was maybe a little higher priced than others with less facilities (a mattress or sleeping matt). We were told to bring our own but the price should reflect this. Very peaceful though and great that you can park outside the huts :) Will be back, maybe booking the upgraded huts.
