This was our second stay at quarry walk, the pods have everything you need, for a comfortable stay. Hopefully our next visit, we will be booking a cabin with a hot tub. Would definitely recommend.

We went for lovely walks and we went to the Raddle inn pub about 10 mins in the car , food was gorgeous all home made , quarry walk is a gorgeous place lovely and clean can’t wait to return.

Cosy little lodge for a new year break. Fully equipped cosy and warm. Beautiful tranquil setting - perfect for country dog walks. Close enough to pub serving good food and drinks. Enjoyed a walk to the Abbey and also through the quarry. Very enjoyable.

The lodge itself was ok, very small and not appropriate for 6 people as advertised. Quite clean though. The road leading to it was just a boggy muddy track with no lights so you trod mud inside all the time and after dark you were stuck inside. We paid for the marshmallows and fire pit but this was a communal one in the middle of the lodges with no shelter so didn’t use and would not recommend. We paid for Wi-Fi which was also non existent. It would stay connected for about a minute with 1 bar and then you had to reconnect it so not fit for purpose.

The cabin had everything you need with 5 of us staying we had ample room. The few things I thought let it down ever so slightly was that we arrived at 20:30 in the dark and pouring with rain. With 2 kids and lots of bags to take in the area wasn’t lite at all so trying to them use the tour h on a smart watch and carry bags in the rain was too good. Just some slight light wood chip foot paths would be great to solve this problem. Another was our induction job wasn’t working so couldn’t cook how we wanted. Another small one was after the kids had gone to bed we sat outside but the outside light was motion activated and after a few minutes we had to wave hands etc to turn it on, a fixed light on a switch would be great. Saying all this we would 100% go back as this is what we have been looking for in the area for a while

Stayed recently in the Bluebell Plus Pod (twice the size of the smaller Bluebell pods and I thought a nicer location than the pods with jacuzzis). Everything felt fresh and clean, with a wonderful smell of pine. There are 3 double beds (including a double bunk bed), a decent bathroom with great shower and a kitchenette with 2-ring induction hob, kettle, toaster and a tiny fridge (don't take too much fresh food!). There's a fold-up table inside and a covered picnic table outside, plus a communal fire pit (which we didn't get to use as it was raining!). I took my own cafetiere and penknife with bottle/tin opener, and you need to take your own towels. You can borrow books and DVDs from reception, where there's a good little shop. The whole area is lovely, set in a woodland with a nice 1km trail - we saw loads of beautiful red fly agaric toadstalls. I really loved the whole place and the staff were so friendly and helpful. 15 mins to Alton Towers and lovely walks nearby at Dimmers Dale.
