Or you could give the car a rest and set off out on local ambles such as the Hiraethlyn Walk's three and a half-mile circular route just outside the site, around the National Trust's Bodnant Garden a mile and a half away – or to the village pub for drinks and evening meals.

Waenfechan Glamping is on a family-run farm, with the self-contained glamping pods set on one of its quietest and most wildlife-friendly spots. The pods were all newly built in 2018 and come with pull out sofa bed with luxury bed linen; heating and electricity included; a smart TV; a shower room and a small kitchenette.

The outside decking area is, perhaps best to utilise when you're still steaming from the hot tub, wrapped in your fluffy dressing gown, and pouring a tasty aperitif against the Welsh sunset...
