The pods also come fully equipped with heating, light, a fridge and a kettle. In addition to the stunning mountain views, outside each pod, guests can make use of a BBQ and picnic bench
Guests will need to bring their own bedding, cooking equipment and utensils, towels and charcoal for the BBQ.
Well behaved dogs are allowed in our pods, however you must bring your own bedding for them.
Our spacious washrooms are well appointed and open 24 hours. They boast individual wash cubicles with mirrors, free hot showers, hair dryers and a deep sink in the ladies for baby bathing. A large disabled room is available in both the ladies and gents, which can be used as a family cubicle.
A children’s play area is provided with a swing and climbing frame with slide. Children must be supervised whilst playing on site.
We have a small shop in reception selling essentials to stock you up when you run out. (Plus chocolate because that’s an essential in our eyes!)

Stayed in a mountain pod for 3 nights with my 2 children in April. Perfectly located to the west of the Lakes and north of the Yorkshire Dales. It was absolutely ideal for our needs. The pod warms up nicely, we utilised the BBQ to cook dinner and toasted marshmallows, as well as trying the food at The Engine Shed. The Greek food on Wednesday night was delicious and the Sauvignon blanc at the bar 👌👌👌. Toilet / shower block, spotless, staff so friendly and the price is great too. Already booked to return in August. Tip, bring plenty of sheets and bedding, the back of the pod folds out into a huge bed, more than enough space for us.

Another return visit, staying in the mountain camping pod with my 2 border terriers .Excellent facilities, with a fully equipped kitchen on the camping area if required . Engine shed a real bonus..with a variety of different menus daily. Wonderful scenery and viaduct walks and easy access to Kirkby Stephen. Staff very friendly and accommodating … highly recommended

The park was very well kept, I was in a wheelchair the toilet and shower was excellent! I brought my own portable ramp to get into the pod. Inside the pod I had room to go up and down and turn around. There was a fridge and plenty of cutlery, cups, plates and a kettle. The heater heated up the pod well. It was a lovely stay and I would recommend it. The only negative was the faulty lock on the door.

Only an hour away from where I live but feel like you’re miles away. Lovely walks and great access to local village. Facilities on site are brilliant and the engine shed is fantastic for the night to meet with friends and family to have a drink and some food. We’ve stayed for the past few years and would definitely come back. We’ve stayed in a tent here for many years and then stayed in a pod this time which was also excellent.

Campsite was incredible. Great size pitches, impeccably clean wash blocks, great little laundry and onsite bar/food is of a really high standard. Great field next to site for playing games and flying kites. Highly recommended!
