The camping pods at Hillcroft Park are the perfect location for staying near Lake Ullswater in the Lake District. Owned and operated by the Heath Family, the award-winning Hillcroft Park sits above the pretty lakeside village of Pooley Bridge.

Designed to meet the needs of holiday makers who appreciate the peace and tranquillity found in this part of the world, Hillcroft Park provides an ever-changing landscape that is simply breathtaking throughout the year.
Camping Pods are suitable for couples or families of up to 2 adults and 3 Children. They are equipped with a light, heater and are carpeted, however, you are required to bring your own bedding (i.e. air beds, pillows, sleeping bags, blankets, etc.) and other accessories as you would if you were camping. Think of it as going camping, but we provide you with a camping pod rather than a tent.
We love what we do and work hard to go that extra mile for our guests. Providing the best facilities with a personal touch, we’ve an onsite shop that sells a good range of local produce and everyday staples plus a play area with outdoor table tennis and football tables. There is a dedicated laundry room and a drying room.
We are lucky enough to be located in the beautiful Ullswater Valley and there are a multitude of walks for all levels and abilities in the area. A recent addition to the list is the Ullswater Way – a 20 mile circular walking route around the lake. The route can be walked in either direction and from any starting point.

Beautiful campsite. Exceptionally clean. Showers amazing. Short walk into Pooley bridge with good pubs and pub food. Staff friendly and accommodating. We will be back

We booked a camping pod as a last minute trip, upon arrival we were very impressed how well maintained the park was. We arrived at our pod and were shocked at how big it actually was & had everything we needed plugs, information leaflets, coat hook, blackout blinds.These pods are also very well insulated it's the first time we've been camping and never been cold.We are a family of 5 and had 3 very small dogs and all fit in the pod no problem we left our extra bags in the car to give us space for the beds.Loved that the pod had the fence around so handy for the dogs.The toilet and shower facilities are immaculate very well maintained definitely the best ones I've ever used on a site.We would definitely stay again and highly recommend to others. :-)

Once again, absolutely flawless, which is why visit time and time again! Friendly, hardworking staff, super-clean facilities and a nice relaxing atmosphere - what more could you want!?

Location fabulousStaff very friendly and helpfulPod freshly painted clean and tidyW.C Block beautiful and very clean, loved the back ground noise of birds and sheepPod itself was cold despite having the heater on all the time, needs more insulationOn reflection the £140 for the two nights stay was over priced i think, especially as it was only mid march and out of season As it was March, we were cooking our evening meal in the dark under the canopy. The canopy needs a light.Overall a great camp site and fabulous location away from the madness of the central lakes area

Quiet time of year but walk in to pooley bridge for a bite to eat we'll worth it friendly at reception and staff on site he never stops looking forward to going in summer going to upgrade pods this time.

Hillcroft really is the perfect site which is why we return year after year! Friendly staff, clean and tidy site and the toilet/shower facilities are truly the best we’ve experienced in our many years of camping - spotlessly clean and spacious. Can’t recommend enough!

We enjoyed our two night stay in a camping pod at Hillcroft. The pod was clean and warm with the installed heater. The washing and toilet facilities were very clean, modern and close to the camping pods. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The site is located within a short walking distance to Pooley Bridge which is a great place to eat and drink. Lovely views and thankfully we had great weather! Thank you Hillcroft for a very pleasant visit.

Been a while since I was at the site.took my partner for 1st time.she totally loved the place as did I to the changes that had been made to improve the site and the stay for visitors.
