Higher Culloden Farm is nestled between Bodmin Moor and the North Cornwall coast where you can camp in a cosy pod with the family by night, and explore near and far by day!

Everyone loves to join in with animal feeding on the farm in the mornings to feed the chickens and pigs. After that, head out to explore some of Cornwall's best beaches such as Polzeath, Daymer, Bude and Widemouth, wander through old fishing villages like Port Isaac and Boscastle, go on a sealife safari from Padstow, cycle the Camel Trail together, or discover ancient Tintagel Castle – all just a short drive away. Eden Project is a bit further, around 40 minutes away, and well worth a day trip.

If that all sounds like too much effort, why not while away a lazy day on the farm? Take the nature walk and explore our 15-acres at your leisure. Stop to skim stones and splash in the stream at the riverside picnic area, discover the hidden den, then walk back up the ancient cattle track. Will you spot where the piskies live? The huge sandpit is always a winner with little ones, and there is table tennis in the barn and a field for games for bigger ones.

After a day of adventure, enjoy a friendly gathering at the Cornish Campfire Cooking Corner or enjoying a barbecue. A second firepit is available down by the river if you want somewhere quieter and darker (we are within Bodmin Moor Dark Skies Landscape). Firewood and local charcoal are available to buy onsite, as well as camping pack hire with all the stuff you might need if you're not already a camper, and many other useful extras. And if you don't feel like cooking, it's just a five-minute walk into the heart of town where you'll find award-winning fish and chips, curries and a welcoming pub.

Then time for bed! The five cosy off-grid pods each sleep up to a family of four (bring your own bedding) with a kingsize double and two small children's beds suitable for up to about 11/12 years old with bumpers for toddlers. Plus room for a travel cot. Each pod has a private lockable bathroom in the same field so you can leave your towels and toothbrushes in there. Charge your devices in the shared-kitchen lockers where you'll also find a microwave, kettle, toaster and small fridge. There's also a large campers' barn with picnic tables should you need it.
