Stayed in accessible glamping pod. Very impressed with facilities, everything clean and warm, everything we needed was in the pod. Although we did not need to use it, we looked around the amenities block which was very clean and tidy. Although weather was not good, we were able to use the fire pit / bbq on one night, and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Bus very handy for Haltwhistle and railway station. Ordered food from the Fryery one night, this was delivered very quickly and was excellent.Hope to return soon when weather is better for dark sky viewing.

I booked this trip for me and my partner, to get away and just relax whilst enjoying the time away. We got this at Herding Hill Farm, as the scenery and lodge we stayed in were amazing! The staff on arrival were friendly, showing us to our pod and explaining everything we needed to know. The place was clean, gorgeous and had everything you needed for a couple calm days away.

This is a very quiet site. The staff are always on hand if you have any queries, but let you be if that’s what you want. Interaction with the staff is left to your own discretion. I have returned to this site every year, for the past 5 years, and have always had a fabulous time

Loved staying at Herding Hill. The glamping pod exceeded our expectations and was clean, comfortable and had stunning views. Campsite was very well kept and the staff extremely friendly. Loved the additional amenties of the hot tub and fire pit which we used on several occasions. Easy to walk to and along Hadrians Wall and plenty to see and do in the immediate area. We visited the Roman Army museum and the Roman Vindolanda which are only 3 to 4 miles away and are easily accessible by either car, walking or the AD122 bus that stops outside the campsite. It was our first experience of glamping but it will not be our last, however suspect it might be hard to beat the stay we had at Herding Hill.

First time staying in a Castle Pod and it did not disappoint!!! Beautifully finished and no expense spared on the facilities inside from the log burner to the kettle. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the hot tub due to the horrid weather but it is the UK!!!Thanks again for having us 🙂

We had booked to stay Friday to Monday. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to personal reasons so our stay was cut short. As the office was closed (10.30am due to them been out on site) we were unsure where to leave the keyTried texting the out of office number but didn't get a response. We ended up finding a young lad who was maintaining the hot tubs and left the key with him. I then emailed to say we had left early but didn't get a reply! I hope this was okay? This was our second stay and we will defiantly be back again and was gutted to have to leave early. The pods are located at the end of the site in a really peaceful area. They are well equipped with good pans, knives, utensils etc. They are very warm and cosy inside with the addition of the log burner. I have looked around for a pod of the same standard with log burner and hot tub and this site is by far the best value for money I have found with the facilities each pod has to its self. 100% recommend staying here!
