Our Mini Pod “Teal” offers a touch of luxury to your glamping break away in the Cambridgeshire countryside.
Nestled close to the edge of the lake, with a private hot tub and lakeside seating and fire pit, you really can relax and take in the views across the water and into the fields beyond.
Handcrafted by local carpenters, Teal offers all you could need for a quick getaway, with a modern interior and luxury fittings throughout. Kitchenette with undercounter fridge, twin hob/combi oven, microwave, kettle and all cutlery and crockery supplied, bathroom with full sized shower and toilet, and a comfy superking bed and cushions. With the addition of air conditioning for the warmer days, Teal is the perfect spot at any time of year.
Fishing available on site with the purchase of a fishing ticket, and access granted to all lakes on site. Teal is situated on our Stock Lake but is a stone's throw from all other lakes on site.
Check in from 4pm and Check Out at 9.30am.
Head Fen Country Retreat is a stunning spot in a rural setting, with four fishing lakes, and beautiful surroundings. The perfect place to relax and unwind, enjoy a day fishing, or use as a base to explore the wider area. The historic city of Ely is nearby, boasting a majestic Cathedral which can be seen for miles, and beautiful walks along the riverfront.

On the surface the retreat is nice and a nice location for family who are keen on fishing.However on arrival our lodge did not have a super-king bed as advertised on the website. When we spoke to a member of the team the response was “well we didn’t design the website”. When I reached out again I was told that I could leave if I wanted to.The lodge also had previous guests rubbish outside and generally scattered around the outside of the lodge.The lodge also smelt horrendously of stale smoke to a point it made us feel sick.Some more upkeep and maintenance needed and some better customer service.

What can I say we had an amazing time, our lodge was clean and super cosy, everything we wanted and more.Staff bent over backwards to make it loverly, nothing was to much.Will definitely be returning very soon.Tasha xx

We stayed in Teal, perfect for a couples weekend, very quiet and peaceful to chill and relax, amazing huge hot tub and lots of lakes to fish! We’re already deciding when to rebook!

We loved the glamping pod, well fitted out with all needs met. We were disappointed with the fact we could not get get full use of the hot tub as this is not stated when you book. You are booking 2 nights but only getting 1 day, very late check in and earliest check out I have ever known. Poorly fitted fake grass in a wildlife retreat? I do feel more creative placing of pods and huts instead of rows and right next to each other would be more fitting for a retreat. We did enjoy our stay but just feel it was at cheap and I do expect that little bit extra than big standard.

Me and my husband spent a nice weekend at Teal mini Lodge,very well organised, looks small but you have all you need it.I will definitely recommend the place for others.
