Accepted Calm & peaceful, The Retreat Hut is fully equipped with everything you need for a quiet weekend away from it all. You are welcome to stay on the farm all weekend reading and relaxing in and around the hut or to wander through the farm walk and nature reserve, spotting wildlife as you go. Alternatively, there are beautiful walks nearby, swimming in the River Stour, lovely local towns of Shaftesbury, Sherborne and Dorchester to visit as well as all the countryside and coast that Dorset can offer!
The Retreat Hut has a comfortable double sofa bed, made for your arrival with organic cotton bedding; kettle, cups, coffee and tea for your morning cuppa; a small fridge and outdoor campers’ kitchen with two ring gas stove, cutlery, crockery, pans for al fresco cooking; a fire bowl with tripod and grill for barbeques or firelight gazing and we provide milk, bread, butter, eggs & local jam or marmalade for your first day’s breakfast. The loos, solar powered showers & washing-up sinks are just a few yards away and are shared with campsite guests during the summer holidays.
