A stay at Ernest’s Retreat is all the fun of Camping without the stress of putting up the tent!

Join us for the perfect glamping getaway in the most beautiful location! Hidden away in a peaceful spot with elevated panoramic views over the surrounding countryside, we are a family run site offering glamping breaks on the edge of the Peak District.

Our 6 Glamper Pods are perfect for groups & families, each Glamper Pod has a double bed and three single beds in bunk bed form. Mattress are included but please bring your own bedding.

These pods are fully insulated and offer a warm, cosy camping experience. Each has a kettle, heater, power points and interior and exterior lights.

The site has a purpose built toilet and shower block, with a pot washing area also. Throughout peak season we regularly have a wood fired pizza van serving on site at weekends, please visit our social media or give us a call to check any dates for this.

Ernest’s Retreat is situated in open countryside just 3 miles from the pretty village of Ashover. We are within easy reach of market towns Matlock /Matlock Bath, Bakewell & Chesterfield all of which are famed for their interesting shops & offer a wide range of great cafes, restaurants & pubs. We are in easy travelling distance to attractions such as Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall, Haddon Hall & Heights of Abraham just to name a few.
