Buckland Campsite is located in the village of Nottington, only a short drive from the famous golden sands of Weymouth bay, the Isle of Portland, home of the 2012 Olympic Sailing Events, the famous Jurassic Coast and the historic county town of Dorchester, you will always have something to discover and do!

Here at Buckland Campsite in Dorset you can enjoy a tranquil break in your own exclusive furnished Bell Tent near Weymouth Bay and located in the heart of the rolling hills of the countryside.

Your bell tent will be cleaned and ready for when you arrive - all you need to add is bedding. There are four inflatable beds which can be connected to make doubles, sleeping up to four people, for a comfortable glamping break.

The great features of the glamping bell tents are that they are already pitched on arrival, removing the hassle from camping and allowing for a later arrival if perhaps you are coming for the weekend after work.

There are power sockets, great for charging your phones or running an electric cool box whilst retro furnishings make for a unique experience of glamping on the Jurassic Coast, Dorset.

Wonderful stay

When we arrived we were met by Ian, who could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The campsite looked really well looked after. Our bell tent was ready when we arrived and was very clean and tidy. The toilet, showering and washing up facilities were fantastic. Having the children’s play frame and the games room was brilliant and there was plenty of room to run around. Overall, our stay was the perfect camping experience, really.

Great location , only a short drive to Weymouth and other visitor attractions, lots to do with the kids. Site was small enough that the kids could go off and play and you can keep an eye on them. Lovely little shop selling good coffee. Main improvement I’d suggest is the beds in the bell tents and very small and short which didn’t make for a great nights sleep. A little headboard would also be great to stop your pillow falling off the end .

Lovely little campsite. Nice play area for children. Shop was very limited. Facilities were ok. Staff were friendly and accomadating. We did stay in a bell tent glamping. Which did seem very expensive for what we had. Our toilet seat was broken throughout our stay despite reporting it the first day. Beds very comfortable. Logs and fire lighters were given for our fire pit which was a nice touch
