Clean, comfortable and like a home away from home, we both had a wonderful stay and loved every moment. A really perfect night away just me and my daughter. We made use of the fire pit for a bbq, and the log stove inside to make the shepherd hut so nice and toasty. The toilets and shower facilities were super clean and very close by. We felt like it was the perfect mix of comfort with the lovely double bed, and camping with the fire and toilets and pot noodle breakfast :) we just had a fab time, thank you so much.

Despite choosing an extremely windy night to stay in a shepherd's hut, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the outdoor sounds were muffled, allowing us to feel anchored and cozy inside. The space was modern and offered everything we needed—nothing more, nothing less. We only wished for better weather so we could have enjoyed cooking sausages over the fire pit in the morning. The amenities provided were thoughtful and convenient: a kettle with teas and coffees, complimentary bottled water in the mini fridge, and a much-appreciated oil heater that kept us wonderfully toasty.A couple of days prior to our arrival, I received all the necessary information from Liv, who was incredibly kind and instructed us to reach out if we needed anything. We would absolutely love to return, take advantage of the free entry to the park, sample the local produce from the shop, and enjoy another tranquil weekend.Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The pods need porches. At the very least there needs to be a communal outdoor shelter in bad weather

The shepherds hut was small but had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and in good condition. The toilet block is only a short walk away and the facilities and shower were modern and new. When we stayed it was very quiet, think we were the only ones there needing the toilet block so if it was busy it might not be as available but obviously can't say. The only downside of the stay was the wifi which was very weak signal and almost unusable. They could do with a booster closer or inside the huts.

Stayed in the shepherd’s hut with my partner and my mother stayed in the other shepherd’s hut. We had a lovely stay, very comfortable and nice size plot. Close to the facilities. Lots of things in the shop should you forget anything by chance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s a very peaceful and beautiful setting. Only slight negatives is one of the windows in our hut wouldn’t close fully, you could only close it on the latch. And one of the bathroom doors didn’t have a handle, only a lock, which at times could be a struggle to open. Would stay again if in the area. Highly recommend!

We stayed here while attending an event locally. The site is surrounded by beautiful countryside, is secure, has great facilities and very friendly staff. The Boar Park is such fun - and we were a party of just adults 😀.The shepherd huts are spacious and comfortable.

The hut was very clean & cute. Loved that it had a kettle! And loved the free wild boar tickets & ideas for local walks. The underbed storage was huge too! However on our second day, it rained heavily & there was nowhere to put muddy boots or wet clothes. Maybe an extra mat for boots would work. We also couldn't get the fire to work. Instructions on how to use the fire would have been greatIt was very cold at night - luckily we brought our sleeping bag, please inform people that they may need to do this. Sporadic WiFi- which only was a struggle when we tried to find somewhere to eat at night when it was too wet to cook outside. Ideas of where to eat locally may be useful. If you wanted to be totally off grid. You are also very close to the other hut - ok if you are a sociable person! The toilet & shower facilities & washing up facilities were lovely. Overall a lovely stay.

We so enjoyed our few days at Bowland. The area and camp site are beautiful with plenty to do and see. We enjoyed the beautiful villages, pubs and the Tolkien Trail. The campsite has excellent facilities and us and pods are well spaced. We enjoyed the fire pit that came with the shepherd’s hut. The bed was comfortable and the hut was sparkling clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend the burgers and sausages on sale.
