Stayed in a shepherds hut with my son for 3 nights .. the shepherds hut was lovely with everything you need the area was great and plenty fir kids to do at the wild boar park . We saw a wedding venue at the place that would be lovely and different . Lots of different things to stay in from safari huts , pods and tipis , with a flat field for tents close to toilets and pot wash area . The toilets where great and clean and shower was hot . The staff where really friendly and lovely and very helpful . Only thing I would note is there's no phone signal ( vodafone) and I didn't get wifi all the time we were there but for me that was better ! Also I have to mention the rooster that I was later told doesnt belong to the site . He was amazing and funny and cheeky ( stole our food off the bbq ) .. definitely a good addition to the park 👌

Fantastic stay in the Shepherds Hut. Check in and included entrance to the Animal Park was easy. Check which days it us open however. The hut was beautifully presented with fridge, kettle, bedding and a stove. We used the firepit for our instant bbq.The toilet facilities were lovely, with all in one shower and loo rooms, it was very quiet on our visit however I think if the campsite was full, and 2 people were showering, an extra loo might be useful. We took a wander across the site in the evening and found the forest and wildflower ponds, and children's play area in the pod section. All was clean and tidy. The other accommodation looked great too.I would stay in a hut again, I would worry that if strangers were in the other hut they might feel a bit close.Overall lovely and I would possibly camp, or hire the belltent.

Our shepherds hut was almost new and well equipped, and very warm with its log burner when we needed it. The bed was comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our full day there was one of the wettest of the week but we walked down to the boars and back to dry off in front of woodstove. My only criticism could be that the glove to hold the stove's door handle should have been a left hand rather than the right. If we come again we would bring a single-burner gas hob and a pan.

Lovely place, friendly staff, nice clean Shepherds hut.......but placement of huts not great, 2 very close together and right next to access road in and out of park. Could have been placed in more secluded area and not so close to each other.Except for that everything else was fab.

Clean, comfortable and like a home away from home, we both had a wonderful stay and loved every moment. A really perfect night away just me and my daughter. We made use of the fire pit for a bbq, and the log stove inside to make the shepherd hut so nice and toasty. The toilets and shower facilities were super clean and very close by. We felt like it was the perfect mix of comfort with the lovely double bed, and camping with the fire and toilets and pot noodle breakfast :) we just had a fab time, thank you so much.

Despite choosing an extremely windy night to stay in a shepherd's hut, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the outdoor sounds were muffled, allowing us to feel anchored and cozy inside. The space was modern and offered everything we needed—nothing more, nothing less. We only wished for better weather so we could have enjoyed cooking sausages over the fire pit in the morning. The amenities provided were thoughtful and convenient: a kettle with teas and coffees, complimentary bottled water in the mini fridge, and a much-appreciated oil heater that kept us wonderfully toasty.A couple of days prior to our arrival, I received all the necessary information from Liv, who was incredibly kind and instructed us to reach out if we needed anything. We would absolutely love to return, take advantage of the free entry to the park, sample the local produce from the shop, and enjoy another tranquil weekend.Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The pods need porches. At the very least there needs to be a communal outdoor shelter in bad weather

The shepherds hut was small but had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean and in good condition. The toilet block is only a short walk away and the facilities and shower were modern and new. When we stayed it was very quiet, think we were the only ones there needing the toilet block so if it was busy it might not be as available but obviously can't say. The only downside of the stay was the wifi which was very weak signal and almost unusable. They could do with a booster closer or inside the huts.

Stayed in the shepherd’s hut with my partner and my mother stayed in the other shepherd’s hut. We had a lovely stay, very comfortable and nice size plot. Close to the facilities. Lots of things in the shop should you forget anything by chance. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It’s a very peaceful and beautiful setting. Only slight negatives is one of the windows in our hut wouldn’t close fully, you could only close it on the latch. And one of the bathroom doors didn’t have a handle, only a lock, which at times could be a struggle to open. Would stay again if in the area. Highly recommend!
