If it’s a toss-up between sea views and proximity to popular attractions as the most important consideration for your Cornwall holiday location, you can put the coin down right now.
On a hillside at the top of a family farm just outside St Austell, Boscoppa Farm Glamping and Camping has fabulous views out over Carlyon Bay, and it’s a mere 10 minutes’ drive from the Eden Project, Cornwall’s most-visited attraction.
Those two things alone may well be enough to entice you, but there’s more… as this mid-Cornwall site is also handily close to both the A390 and A391 for easy outings to other favourite attractions including the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Bodmin Jail Attraction and fishing villages like Fowey and Mevagissey. You’re never too far from a beach in Cornwall either – and in this case there are a couple of lovely sandy stretches (at Porthpean and Carlyon) about 10 minutes’ drive away.
Staying just outside St Austell is a clever move, too, putting you within easy reach of shops, places to eat and other amenities. The nearest food shops and supermarkets are about five minutes’ drive away, and you can get to the town centre in 10 minutes.
The site has a double toilet and shower unit with hot water. There is also a small kitchen/washing up area.
Even with all this convenience, the site itself maintains a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, with plenty of space to soak up the sea views. Dogs and kids are welcome, and you’ll be allowed to set up a barbecue for your outdoor meals if you like.
