We stayed in a shepherd hut which was perfect for our wedding day, the hut was nice and clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay! There was plenty of space for us to get ready in the morning for our big day and was in a lovely rural location which really felt switched off from the world (perfect for relaxing!)

Me and my now husband stayed in Buttercup last weekend for our wedding. It was really nice and the bath was a good touch. The bed was so comfy! The heater was good in the living room but it didn’t travel to the bed area but that could also be because I wasn’t using it correctly 🫣 Whoever stays in it next, especially if it’s for your wedding- make sure you take it all in! The feeling when you leave is something else!

I stayed in the couples cabin for 3 nights with my partner. Really enjoyed it and the cabin was lovely. Only negative was the toilet kept breaking, but everything else was amazing!

We stayed here the weekend of our wedding and had the best time! We stayed in Buttercup, the couples cabin and it was LUXURIOUS. A bath big enough for my 6ft 9 husband, the bed was sooo comfortable and the staff were so friendly. Convenient parking next to our cabin and we even had a cheeky look at some out our guests accommodation (family cabin and pods) and they were just a lovely. All our guests complimented us on our choice of venue and accommodation, it was perfect. We were sad to leave after 3 nights, but it was perfect for making our wedding seem longer by having the weekend. 100% recommend, we plan to come back for longer!

We had a great stay, but if you want peace and quiet, the shepherd huts or any pitch near the main building are not for you! This site also acts as a wedding venue AND AS YOU WOULD EXPECT the wedding parties have loud music played up to around 11 pm and it's loud! yes, all those wedding day music oldies are blasted out night after night which was a bit disappointing, after the 3rd night I'd had my fill of wedding music. The wedding guests also use the same toilets as the camping guests(not ideal!). Other than that I found the accommodation (Shepherd hut) very clean and compact, the bed was amazingly comfy.

Staff were all friendly and helpful. Shepherds hut was beautiful and generally very good use made of limited space. The dressing table looked lovely but think that a wardrobe or more storage of some kind would have been more useful, especially as there is no plug socket near it. The bath was fantastic but did feel a bit guilty about using that amount of water. There is only 2 of each item of cutlery and crockery which made making and serving meals more of a chore. Overall a lovely stay and was very comfortable even in not so pleasant weather .
