Lordstones is a privately owned Country Park offering glamping in the North York Moors National Park.
Our Glamping Pods are hand built and bespoke to us, they offer more space than the standard 'Mega Pods' available at other glamping sites, they have also just recently been given a fresh new look, making them among the most desirable pods for glamping in Yorkshire!
The pods are located in their own secluded Pod Village, surrounded by ponds and have beautiful Moorland views.
Each glamping pod contains a small washroom with toilet and wash basin, a double bed & double sofa-bed and can comfortably sleep up to 4 people and are ideal for 2 Adults & 2 Children. There is also a small kitchenette area with travel kettle, under counter fridge and basin and dining table & chairs. Guests have access to a wood burning stove to keep them warm on their Yorkshire glamping trip and each pod has a personal outdoor decking area with seating and a cast iron BBQ.
We have a minimum stay of 2 nights and we are a pet friendly glamping site, accepting pets in two of our pods (subject to availability).
Just a stone's throw from your accommodation you will find; The Lordstones Shop, selling local produce including our own hand-reared beef and all the camping essentials from logs to lemonade! You will also find The Lordstones cafe which is the perfect destination for a quick coffee stop, or an enjoyable lunch and The Belted Bull Restaurant which offers the finest quality, locally sourced produce. The restaurant is open from 6 till late, Thursday through to Saturday.
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to pre-book bedding & towels or bring your own. Our glamping pods do not contain any cutlery or crockery.

Site is accessible (24hours a day!), Location is stunning and the views amazing. Staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly. The pod facilities are the best I have experienced with the services it provides, fridge, lighting, toilet and bed complete with bedding and the value for money - surprising Yorkshire value! Restaurant and Cafe have a great range and great value for money.Local attractions are the Cleveland Way and Lordstones views. My only recommendation would be to modify the shop offer. Catering for day trippers (which make most of the visitor population I suspect), but for this who are staying for a longer period some basics would be appreciated...fresh bread, cooked meats, beer and wine.

I took my dog, two grandchildren 6 and 2 and my daughter in law on this break and stayed in a pod. The pod village is an in closed space. In the area there is a pond which had frogs, and ducks and loads of lovely birds. My grandchildren loved looking at the wild life has did the adults. The staff were excellent particularly with the children. The pod was clean. Microwave and kettle were clean. The only thing missing was a can opener, has we had drought tin food to microwave. We ate in the restaurant, food was lovely. Overall we had a great time. Thanks Lordstone

The cap site is great, very private and unique area for the pods. We loved it !It is far enough from the bar/restaurant to avoid noise and a big enough area to allow children to explore. The pond is a great addition2 things that stood out for improvement - mattresses these feel very used and flat Shower block, a few DIY tasks required and a little TLC over the day would be good. Walkers can seem to access these during the day and it was full of grass when we went to use it

Loved the pods only issue was no service and the provided wifi didn’t reach the curlew pod we stayed in otherwise superb. Also wasn’t any proper utensils for bbq.

Stopped in the Mallard Glamping pod with my 2 year old grandson for two days. Ideal for our requirements, clean, warm and comfortable. Lovely location, used the cafe of breakfast and dinner, first class food. The shower block was great.Things to be aware of, the Glamping pod has toilet but no shower. No TV and no Internet access in Pod. Didn't bother me for our stay but may be important to others.

Lovely pods and surroundings, but was a little disappointed with the restaurant which we assumed would be like a pub, cozy and homely, sadly it was just a very large formal cafe with no atmosphere, hence we cooked ourselves. Unfortunately, the majority of our stay was spent from 9.30am to 3.30pm listening to work men working on the pods, drilling, sawing and hammering, and then cutting branches down. After having a word with management, it made not the slightest bit of difference, as the following day, they were back again! Hence we won't be returning.

Our stay at Lord Stones was absolutely fantastic, primarily due to the breathtaking location. Perched on the escarpment, the views across the North Pennines were simply stunning, especially at sunset. Waking up to such a vista was a real treat. The site itself felt peaceful and well-situated to take advantage of the natural beauty. It's a perfect spot for anyone looking to escape and immerse themselves in nature.
