We are the Jones family and have been farming at Great House Farm for more than 60 years and we would love to share part of our lovely location with you.

With sweeping views of the valleys and hills of the surrounding countryside, the clearest night skies and the freshest air you might have ever breathed, we offer an exceptional place to stay.

Our Wye Pod - is on the right of the site and accommodates up to six people (one double bed, bunk beds and a sofa bed).

The en-suite shower room has complimentary toiletries, towels, a sink and hot running water. The pods are fully insulated and have central heating as well as WiFi, multiple charging points and a smart TV.

In the kitchen there is a hob, oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and a fridge. Kitchen equipment is also provided, including plates, bowls, cutlery, pots, pans, cups and glasses, as well as a tin opener, chopping boards, wooden spoons and more.

Outside, the large patio is fully decked and has a private hot tub and comfortable seating. There is also a firepit outside each pod, which we have had custom made, which includes a cooking grill that can be used as a BBQ. A complimentary wood bag is provided for your use and additional wood can be purchased on site.

The site has a large car park, though cars are nor permitted into the pod site - making the site very child friendly. You will have the use of a "cart" to take your luggage and provisions to your pod along our site paths.

The site looks over towards the Begwyns, near Hay and Pen-y-Fan, which is the highest point in South Wales.

There's plenty of good walking on the doorstep. Try the footpath to the top of Twyn y Garth, where a First World War German Howitzer (a large field gun now rusted away in parts) was dragged by men and horses and positioned adjacent to the Old British Camp in 1920 as a memorial (and restored in 2000). Besides the interesting history of the walk, the views from the top of Twyn Y Garth are simply stunning, with views for miles down the Wye Valley. Llandeilo Hill also offers great local vistas. To reach the hill, turn left out of the site and walk to Llandeilo Graban Church. At the crossroads turn left and follow the road for about half a mile (past Pentrecaeau) and you will then be on the bottom of Llandeilo Hill. A little further afield (but worth every extra mile) is the Brecon Beacons National Park, (around a 35-minute drive) for more well known walks.
