In the midst of an Oasis of Tranquillity, Ruthern Valley Wigwams, sleep up to 5 with memory foam mattresses that become seating. These Cornwall glamping wigwams are the ultimate eco cabin – double-glazed, secure and lockable, cosy and warm whatever the time of year. Our glamping Wigwams offer a convenient alternative to the tent for a couple, family, or up to five adults. They are set in designated areas within the site and they are ready and waiting for you with more privacy than a tent and much more comfort for family glamping on the Cornish coast!

If you book to go glamping in Cornwall you will find woodland walks right on your doorstep and Ruthern Valley Wigwams are in an ideal location, central to all Cornwall has to offer.

Hire a bike right from the shop and cycle to the Camel Valley Vineyard, Grogley Woods or Bodmin Gaol! If cycling isn't your thing you can chill on some of the best beaches along the Cornish coast or take advantage of this location for glamping to visit the Eden Project, the infamous millennium project in Cornwall.

Sea spray on the north coast, balmy breezes in the south, scrumptious Cornish food, wild moor ponies and mysterious quoits. Cornwall has so much in store for you.

Have stayed at Ruthernbridge MANY times and got to say it just never changes, that's why the place is so appealing. The present owners have done a lot of upgrades to the washrooms/toilet block but not so you lose the social side of the reason for camping. Whilst you get a plot number which is more than a generous size it's the lack of regimental lines of tents that is so refreshing, There are no frills like pool/entertainment block but if you need that then go to Newquay, this is just piece and quiet. Enjoy!!!

The likes of Rock, Daymer bay and Padstow being close by. I look forward to returning

"Camping pods"

Mrs Z Parkin - Stayed with family, Aug 2020

Great campsite, the pods were perfect for our little family and roomier than they look on the photos.

Thoroughly enjoyed our glamping break. Location was really peaceful and not too far from the Camel Trail. The pod was clean, with a small kitchen area (fridge, kettle and microwave) and was more roomy than we expected. The shop onsite was great for essentials and the wash rooms were cleaned regularly. It's a shame that the weather wasn't better. Apart from that, we had a really lovely time. Thank you.

Yes, shame about the weather but glad you found it roomy. Many thanks for your review and we hope we'll see you again! Best regards, Andrew & Nicky

"A lovely site"

Both times we "glamped" in the pod or wigwam. We thought the price was great for accommodation and length of stay. This time we had our toddler with us and it did feel more tricky due to her being mobile and wanting to wander, the wigwam we had was on a verge so we were less able to relax with her wandering about but had it been us only.. no problem! The bed set up was great but again with a toddler the cot took up lots of room and then felt a bit stuck for space. (Again.. no toddler no problem!) All facilities were clean, up to date and efficient. Even had a food van visit the site to save on cooking!

"Aw"

Mrs S Wills - Stayed with family, Aug 2020

Very tranquil, Higher end camping/glamping. Wash block did get busy at certain times. Expensive but worth it to be away from crowds.

Due to an issue with the arrival time, we arrived early. Of course, there was no one at reception, which was fine. However, when the gentleman turned up, I mentioned that I had rang a couple of times to which he said, "well, I can't be everywhere at once". I think to greet a customer, albeit it an early one, with that comment was unnecessary and did get my back up. Something that needs to be addressed by the park is that if you access your booking via their customer login on their website, the booking information does not state an arrival time on the date. I showed this to him on my paper copy but he didn't want to accept what was in black and white in front of him. Other than that, we loved our glamping hut and it's a very nice campsite. I've given 2 stars for friendliness as the lady was pleasant later on.
