At Ullswater Holiday Park we specialise in a friendly welcome. Our family has been here since 1958 and our park has plenty of space combining a sheltered position beneath Cumbrian fells with excellent access to the nearby shores and waters of Ullswater.

Glamping in Ullswater in the Lake District has never been so good. Our cabins are ideal for family glamping, sleeping 2 adults & 2 children, and some also accept pets.

You will need to supply your own sleeping bags, air beds and camping equipment. There is a light inside each cabin. Background heating is available and there is a plug socket inside the cabin which is suitable for charging mobile phones & laptops. Both the plug socket and background heating are on an eco setting so this just needs clicking back on after the 2 hour timer has finished.

Check in is from 3pm and the cabin should be departed by 10am.

Children of all ages are made particularly welcome at the Park and we have a half-acre playground in the centre of the site. With swings, seesaws and a zip wire plus lots of open space for games and playing, the entire family can make the most of the open air and relax together on a glamping break in the Lake District.

Our self-service general store has everything you are likely to need during your glamping holiday in the Lake District – from groceries, camping equipment and kitchen necessities to newspapers, games and souvenirs and freezer block facilities. There is also an off-licence and we have onsite toilets and showers, laundry services and a licensed bar.

Ullswater is one of the northern lakes of Cumbria and widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and varied. It extends in three reaches for a total of nine miles, from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding, and the scenery changes from gentle river valley, woods and pastures in the north to the dramatic mountain scenery of Kirkstone Pass in the south.

For walkers, cyclists and tourists, Ullswater Holiday Park is well placed for exploring the Lake District National Park and most of Cumbria. The Park backs on to the fells, with the Helvellyn range, Raise and the Dodds behind us and the High Street Ridge and Howtown across the lake. These fells offer walkers plenty of choice, from strenuous climbs to lakeside rambles, and Wainwright’s Northern and Eastern Fells are just a short drive away.
