All you really need to bring is yourself and your holiday clothes; the rest is pretty much covered. Unlike many pod providers, our luxury glamping pods include all the essentials for basic self-catering.We’re only a 10 minute walk along a street-lit pavement into the village of High Bentham for supplies, with a Spar and Co-op that are both open until 10pm daily. Bentham offers 4 pubs, 2 Indian takeaways (1 is also a restaurant), a Chinese takeaway and a quintessentially English fish and chip shop.

We work with local partners to provide hampers, bouquets of flowers or even champagne and chocolates if you’d like to indulge a special someone.

The pod was very warm, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The whole of Wenningdale Escapes is so well maintained. Everyone in the 19th was very friendly and very welcoming.

Just what me and my daughter needed. A short break in a quite area surrounded by mountains and countryside. We enjoyed watching the rabbits on the golf course and we were lucky enough to have one to come up to the pod. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

I carnt rate this place high enough. Communication from the staff was excellent and clear. Checking in and out could not have been simpler. Inside the pod was cosy with everything you would need. Shops in the village of Bentham include: a co-op and a spar. For a drink and something to eat in Bentham pop into the black bull pub for some good food and there is a takeaway further up if you prefer a quiet night in. We spent most of the time out on walks and visiting attractions and nearby villages and towns. My favourites include Skipton (Bizzie Lizzies is a good chippy) Settle (bikers gather on the weekends across from a nice cafe, there is a really nice Italian restaurant called Matteos definitely worth phoning up and booking for an evening meal. Hawes (mainly for the cheese!) and Kirkby Lonsdale. I would definitely recommend you give it a try especially for a couple.

We were in pod 4 and arrived earlier than 4 o'clock. we were able to access the pod earlier due to a text message received. good job we did because pods 1 and 2 arrived later and were prevented from taking their cars back to the car park by pod 5. 2 golfers having unloaded golf clubs and just left their car on the road by pod 5. they had to knock on the door of pod 5 to have the car moved. Not a great start to their weekend. An unacceptable leaving time of 9 o'clock on Sunday morning [ not even time to breakfast at the golf club] had all pods queuing with cars to load and myself having to drive around the one way system to allow pods 1 and 2 to leave for me to return to my pod to load. I see no reason why cars could not be parked at the side of each pods with protection from golf balls on hole 9 due to the height location of the pods and protection from the rear hole 11 I think with a small woodland. A flagged area by each pod would resolve the car issues I have raised.

Lovely scenery, lovely pod, I liked that you didn't need to take any equipment with you. I have limited mobility, so not being able to park next to the pod was an issue for me, even the walk from the carpark was too much, especially since its up an incline aswell. Also, it's worth noting, you might want to take a sgarp/ bread knife with you, as there's not one in the drawer, so even trying to cut a bun is nigh on impossible. The village is compact, with various shops, but be aware that not many places serve food all day, so you need to factor this in to your timings if you want to eat out, it's usually between 12-2 and then 5-8. Also, if you're fit, you could probably walk down to the village, but it's uphill coming back. That aside, we had a nice quiet few days, and even though the pods are on a golf course, we weren't bothered by any noise, although it may be noisier and busier over the weekend. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but the inability to park next to the pod was an issue for me, especially when there's room to maybe put a hard standing next to each pod, and without too much impact. Also the pods are dog friendly, but for me, this isn't always a good thing, as we had dogs both sides of us, and they were a tad noisy. Would we return, probably, would we recommend, yes, if you're of average fitness.
