The Hideaway @Baxby Manor is a place everyone needs to visit. From start to finish the stay was everything you could hope for. Staff were incredibly friendly, great welcome information and shop, everything environmentally friendly. The site pizza shack/ coffee shack was the perfect touch with delicious food and drinks on offer. The Kabinas interior was beautiful with everything you could possibly need for your break, the outdoor area great for relaxing and lovely to see campers around also. The site had amazing facilities for campers even though these weren’t required for ourselves. Nothing was ever too much trouble for the staff members. Will definitely be returning

We really loved our stay in Kabina 1 with our dog Annie. It was so peaceful and we loved the decor. The hot tub was a firm favourite too! Some feedback- We did have some issues with hot water in the shower. The water would run hot for a few minutes and then go cold and take about an hour to heat back up. We both got caught in cold water with shampoo in our hair. Not sure if there was something wrong or whether you are supposed to just have quick showers. We also found that the wooden area around the bed was quite dirty - there were dog hairs (not our dog), dust and a few dead flies. We had to wipe around it ourselves which isn’t ideal. Some of the cutlery was also a bit dirty. Everything else was spotless though! Our final bit of feedback is that it would be great if the shop opened later/there was an honesty system for essentials. We realised we needed more wood at 6.15 but couldn’t buy any. All in all though a great stay, friendly staff and we would return. Pizza shack w

We stayed in the kabina which was ok but we weren’t impressed with the cleanliness, the kitchen worksurface had stains on so we had to clean that and there was lots of dust around the main bed so it hadn’t been swept or hoovered. The site also requests that you strip the bedding before you leave to help them which I found to be a little odd, and when we did that the pillow protectors underneath were dirty and clearly hadn’t been washed.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience at Baxby Manor. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the cleanliness issues in the Kabina. We appreciate your feedback regarding the stains on the kitchen worksurface and the dust around the main bed. We will make sure to address these concerns with our housekeeping team to ensure a better experience for future guests. Regarding the request to strip the bedding, we understand that it may seem odd, but it is a common practice in some establishments to expedite the cleaning process and it also helps to maintain our health and safety standars for our housekeepers, which I am sure you can appreciate. However, we apologise for the condition of the pillow protectors and will investigate this matter further. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We value your feedback and will use it to improve our services.

First time staying in the kabinas!Lovely accommodation. Luxurious inside! Hot tub was great. My only tip would be to have some comfy seating outside. There are benches but after a while too uncomfy. If you have camping chairs bring those.Defo would come back! Lovely place! The food at the shack is great as well!!!

We have been to Baxby manor a fews times and usually camp (in a tent) or stay in one of the eco pods, but with an off season deal we had a cheeky weekend away in a Kabina! Oh wow! It would be hard to go back! It was such a lovely, comfortable, warm space. a surprising amount of space, with a wonder bed. Although the main area is great, I really appreciated having our own loo and shower...especially in the middle of the night in early March ;-) A hottub watching the stars and ISS zooming by were icing on the cake! We loved it, thank you!

Absolutely loved our family stay at Baxby Manor. We stayed in a Hoglet house last summer then a kabina this February. We loved both of our experiences here and would 100% recommend a trip as a couple, a family or with friends. The kabina was sparkly clean and had everything we needed and more. The hot tub had been cleaned especially before our arrival and was amazing on an evening.Barney and the staff are all so friendly and did everything they could to make our stay great. The shower facilities which we used when camping last summer are really clean and well maintained. The pizza shack just completes the holiday. Great time thank you! We love it here.

Great to get the kids of screens. Hot Tub was lovely ( and extremely clean ) and the neat solutions for 'small space living' were really well thought out. Management were really friendly and helpful and there was loads of local information for things to do on a very well laid out Baxby Manor ipad located in the washroom facilities. We didn't need to use these on this visit as we had our own beautiful Kabina with shower room. However we have camped here previously and the washrooms are really well maintained. Site has everything you need and there are some great walks nearby.A tiny bit of feedback would be to add some hooks for towels in the Kabina bathrooms. Thanks again Baxby Manor team!

Very enjoyable stay in the Kabina. Everything was of high quality, lovely bedding and towels. Hot tub was fantastic, very relaxing. The Pizza Shack is a great addition lovely Pizza’s, Breakfast rolls and pancakes. Enjoyed a lovely walk in Yaersley woods and had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the nearby Carleton Inn. We will be back.

We have stayed at the Hideaway before in our tent - we love the area and the friendly atmosphere. We booked the week after the school holidays because it’s my partner’s birthday and this also means it’s always quieter on site as wellThe Kabinas have been well thought out and the heating cooling system indicate that they will be cosy all year round.Loved the hot tub and seating area.We visited Castle Howard and Yorkshire Arboretum during our stay this time but have also visited Helmsley, Rievaulx Abbey and Kilburn while staying previously- we also discovered Beningborough Hall on the way home which was a lovely find. The local pubs are closed on Mondays but The Carlton Inn in Carlton Husthwaite was open on the Tuesday and was lovely and dog friendly too
