The Herdwick Huts are in the very heart of the Lake District National Park with Rydal Lake and the Fairfield Horseshoe mountain range from the doorstep.

Set on the grounds of Rydal Hall with use of all the facilities including a great tea room, state of the art shower and toilet unit, sculpture woodland, waterfalls and ornate gardens.

There is a great dog friendly pub called the Badger Bar for real ale and hearty food only a 5 minute walk down the path.

Each hut has mountainous views. There is a double bed with fresh linen and memory foam mattress and a small single bunk. Each hut has a cast iron gas hob and comes equipped with kitchen utensils. The wood burning stove will keep you toasty warm all year round. Each hut has a solid wooden bench outside with brazier so that you can watch the stars around a fire. We accept one well behaved dog in 4 of the 5 huts. Why not hire all the huts for a special occasion as the site is exclusive to The Herdwick Huts!
