In the heart of Cumbria and a stone’s throw from the Lake District National Park, our estate has been lovingly restored to create a sustainable destination to visit, stay, dine or celebrate. Take to the trails, feed the animals and perhaps even do a spot of stargazing – the possibilities are endless and we promise, your memories with us will be everlasting.
Our gorgeous glamping accommodation, situated in George’s Field provides you with an extra bit of luxury, a good nights rest, and the perfect base to either grab your wellies and get exploring or spend lounging on lazy summer days.
These Teepees are unfurnished but make for the perfect getaway for those who want a camping experience without the hassle of setting up a tent. Bring along your own camping gear to make yourself at home and have access to modern wash facilities. Guests can bring the whole family as these accommodations are dog-friendly!
Don’t forget to add your electric hook up and fire bowl and logs if you’d like the little luxuries!

The campsite felt very safe and was family friendly with 2 play areas for children and my youngest particularly liked the sand pit and diggers. We enjoyed the crazy golf and there was plenty of space to walk our dog. The toilets and showers had hot water and radiators but there wasn't much room to get changed and no hooks to hang towels and would benefit from a shelf to put toiletries on but did the job. We went in the bar one evening which is a nice touch although would benefit from some music on as there wasn't much of an atmosphere. Not much contact with staff as we arrived when office was closed but there is someone on site to show you were your pitch is. Our teepee wasn't in the best location as it was right next to the entrance would of been nicer to be further in the field. It was still close enough to toilets etc.. There is a lovely pub called the sun inn in bassenthwaite i would highly recommend and dog friendly and bassenthwaite lake is lovely for a swim and walk.
