Highly recommend this beautiful campsite, we was fortunate enough to stay in the lily lodge and what a fantastic place to stay it was. Great place to sit and fish to your hearts content, so peaceful and relaxing sitting outside on the decking enjoying watching the ducks passing by.The lodge itself had everything you need and more.On entering on first day we was greeted with bread, butter, milk, eggs and a beautiful victoria sponge, and to top it all a lovely bottle of wine, such a very generous treat. The site itself is outstanding, lovely cafe where you can get lovely coffee and cake or if you wanted something more there was plenty to choose from.If you want to walk your dogs you can walk through the woods for miles it's so beautiful. There is a local pub called queen's head just 5 minutes walk away where also the food was outstanding with fantastic staff, also they allow your dog to sit with you .The staff at Sumners are so helpful and welcoming nothing is too much trouble.

If you are wanting to stay in a beautiful lodge on a lake and relax and recharge your batteries then this is perfect! We stayed for a week as we have done for the past few years. The site is dog friendly, with two enclosed dog paddocks and walks around the lake. The lodges have everything you could need and even a bbq supplied with gas. My husband caught quite a few carp, the biggest during this stay was 28lb, the other sizes were 12-18lb along with some large bream. He has caught his PB on this lake which was 32lb! We are already looking forward to coming back next year.

Very lovely clean lodge with heating. Great stay for the family where we can do some fishing too. My little ones enjoyed a short walk up to see the pony’s near by, and some fishing time. You can be quite restricted with fishing as we had people both side of us casting right where we were within our boundaries which was frustrating.Only downside is the lodge could do with some more proper saucepans instead of stock pots as they take forever to heat up, and a proper grill to go on the oven tray as nothing fitted so our sausages went everywhere.

We were looking for a weekend break that would suit both an 89 year old family member, his elderly dog, and our grand daughters. We have camped at Sumners Ppnd previously but this wouldn’t work so we thought we would book into the lovely Lily Lodge. Everything we wanted in terms of accommodation and fishing on tap, even our youngest granddaughter caught a fish. We have already booked a week stay for next summer. Lovely to have the cafe on site, next time we will also shop locally and try more of the lovely produce on offer!

Once again we had a super time in Lily Lodge. The staff immediately made us feel very welcome and all our requests were deal with positively and to our grateful satisfaction. The comfortable Lodge is a perfect home from home and the facilities are superb with every eventually covered. The fishing was fantastic with a higher than expected catch of Carp averaging over 15 lbs over the duration of our seven night stay. We have also stayed in Iris Lodge but Lily Lodge remains our favourite with such a superb position on Sumner's Pond. We like it so much we have already booked to return in 2025!
