Woodland walks, jumping in muddy puddles, games nights, afternoon tea and of course the fishing ... what ore could you ask for !!Accommodation and surroundings superb!Staff friendly and helpful ... my brother stayed in Grebe and had his grandchildren with him, the decking was slippery ... went to reception to ask if anything could be done and within half an hour someone was there to jet wash the deck.

We recently spent a week here, it was amazing. We stayed in Iris Lodge which was everything and more that you wanted and expected. I would recommend Sumn Ponds to everybody, the staff are friendly and very helpful, the site itself is well maintained and clean. Everything you could wish for is on site and any problems you may have will be solved immediately.

Excellent family holiday. Elderly parents one disabled enjoyed time with the family away from home, despite the weather. The facilities were easily accessible for all and were comfortable and spacious allowing a wheelchair too. If I were asked for anything to be improved it would be an earlier check in and a later check out.

Excellent lodge. The welcome pack was much appreciated. They have thought of almost everything you need. Layout of the lodge worked really well for us. Plenty of space for different things to be going on at the same time. Very lucky with the weather which enabled us to eat outside every day (using the gas barbecue!) and make the most of the verandah. Could have done with a second umbrella or other shade, as the full sun made it too hot to fully utilise the lovely seating area. Liked the privacy screens outside the bedrooms, perhaps there could be a screen at the end to prevent being overlooked by the pitch next door and prevent dogs barking at every movement there. All in all, an excellent relaxing week

This is our 8th stay at sumners pond. Our first at Iris Lodge. As with all the other lodges or safari tents the beds are so comfy. Everything is lovely and clean. The staff are always helpful and friendly. A few more fish would have been great but you can't have everything I suppose. Will definitely be coming back. It's our chill place.

Not sure how the future camp will look. So much work at entrance to site. Also how many more Pods, tents are going up.

We have stayed in many accommodations but now love the lodges… shame you can’t hire them at the weekend apart from November to March…. It works for us all and love the facilities on site

Iris Lodge is a fabulous space, exceptionally clean with all the amenities you can hope for. The decking provides incredible views of the lake. The different lakes offer ample opportunities to fish keeping the younger ones entertained all day! The onsite staff were friendly & professional, and a special mention to thank Debbie for making our stay so enjoyable. Food & service at the cafe was terrific. Would also highly recommend taking a 5 mins stroll to visit The Queen's Head in the village, a lovely local with great beers.
