Our family-run site: Thornton Hall Country Park is an ideal choice for families and couples wishing for a tranquil place to stay.
Boasting x5 standard and x1 luxury bell tents our site is surrounded by the rolling hills of Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Perfect for walking. Why not follow the Pennine Way which runs straight through our Country Park.
Next to the campsite there is Thornton Hall Farm – a children’s Farm Park which is open from January to December and has a full calendar of events throughout. Guests glamping with us will receive a 1 day free entry pass into the Thornton Hall Farm Park.
BELL TENTS:
Sleeping up to 5 people our standard bell tents come with a Silentnight divan double bed and mattress, duvet, bedding (bed made), two pillows, blanket, mini fridge, heater, lamp, fairy lights and decorations.
Our luxury bell tent accommodates up to 4 guests and includes all the above, plus an Alexa, luxury bedding, cushions, wooden base surround, deck chairs and a table and chairs for inside the bell tent. Please note the luxury bed is a metal bed frame.
All tents come complete with a picnic bench outside.
IMPORTANT INFO
Each tent has a double bed which sleeps 2 people. ( 2 adults or an adult and a child.)
Standard costs include a double bed only, with additional people above 2 priced additionally
Additional bed are air beds and come complete with bedding.
Please note that you must bring your own travel cot / bed and bedding for infants.
Beds are NOT provided for under 1’s.
All beds made on arrival.
Shower and toilet block onsite.
Towels not provided.
Check in is from 3pm and check out is 10am
£100.00 damage deposit is payable on arrival.
Dogs are not allowed in the bell tents.

Me my partner and our 2 children had a wonderful nights stay in the bell tent it was peaceful and just what we wanted. We also had a great day on the farm the day after. Toilet where clean and close by.Only thing I could think of that would of been nice is the grass around the benches to have been cut this was quite long and unkept.

Well kept site with plenty of open spaces for the children to play. Tents were very spacious and beds so comfortable. Very well thought out with toilets and showers very close which comes in handy when it rains Parking was easy and close to tents for unloading the car.

If we were to stay again I would check whether there was a wedding on. It was very noisy especially when all the guests were leaving as they had to drive right past the tents. None of us got much sleep and it wasn’t the peaceful break in the countryside I had hoped for.

We hired two bell tents for a family night away and found them very clean and well kitted out.The toilet facilities were pretty good and were regularly cleaned.The farm itself was great loads of activities on at regular intervals as well as the usual play grounds and a very good soft play.The amount of activities and the shows put on put Thornton above other similar places we have been.Also worth mentioning that all the staff were pleasant and helpful.Id highly recommend Thornton to other families and staying the bell tents was an added bonus.

Great weekend with grandkids last weekend. The TP was warm and beds comfy. Plenty to do for the kids and the activities all reasonably priced. the nearby pub does very good food. Only a short walk away
