Fernwood Glamping

Our cosy gypsy van is an ideal place for a couple or a family (2 children age 4-10) to stay for a few nights whilst they explore the New Forest, nearby country parks and local beaches. As you sit outside by the fire pit toasting marshmallows (supplied), looking out over a field where deer and rabbits can often be seen, it is hard to imagine you are glamping in Hampshire, only a short distance from the friendly market town of Ringwood.

Our gypsy van is lit by fairy lights and has a wood burner inside. There is also a double plug socket. There is a four-foot wide double bed (linen and towels provided). For children, there is a bed below (reduced length). There is also a beautiful octagonal thatched summer house, which overlooks the pond, with a mini fridge, tea / coffee making facilities, games and llama wool ponchos. Many guests use this decking area in the morning as well to enjoy their breakfast hamper (optional extra). Up by the house, there is a shared-use flush toilet and shower. In the warmer months outdoor showering facilities for the adventurous are also available as the van has its own shower cubicle, porta-shower and black solar bags to warm up in the sun.

Fernwood Glamping is a quiet location for couples or families with up to 2 children wanting to unwind and relax in our rural setting. For this reason, we ask that music is not played outside, guests are quiet by 10pm and pup tents are not allowed. Our hut and van are non- smoking areas please! It will be a memorable place to stay with your children, but we do ask you to also think carefully about fellow guests as well as safety aspects (hot wood burner, unfenced pond and high deer hide) before booking. We regret, no dogs.

Having lived in Ringwood for over 25 years and brought up our three children here, we are more than happy to help with ideas of places to visit or ideas for walking or cycling. Whether you want to explore the forest or are looking for a more organised day out, there is certainly plenty to do around here. Popular with families is Peppa Pig World at Paulton's Park, the play trail at Moors Valley Country Park or a visit to one of our local beaches (such as Southbourne, Hengistbury Head / Mudeford Quay). For teens or the young at heart, we have The New Forest Water Park, Go Ape / Bike Hire / Play Trails at Moors Valley as well as The New Forest Animal Park and The Raptor and Reptile Centre.

Stay in our Gypsy van for a relaxing few days or as a base to explore the New Forest.
